Honestly, I'm a big fan of Chase. The app is probably the best I've used - so simple and clean. Moving money into their savings account is a no-brainer because the rate is great. It's a solid 4 stars from me, but I have to knock one off because the 1% cashback ended. That was the killer feature that made it perfect. Still a fantastic account to have, though
What went right? Now that I’m retired, we are closing nonessential accounts. This credit card account through Amazon, was closed by August 15th, 2025. How do we access a closed account online? Common sense has left the building. Phone, that’s how we closed it. Social media gives canned responses and superficial/cursory reviews.
I have been a Chase customer for decades. Even compared to BofA, Citi and Capital One, Chase comes in dead last. Login problems are a constant issue, no matter how diligent a customer is. Overseas customer service is zero stars at best. I just had a rep hang up on me when I reminded him that I had answered his question 30 seconds earlier. No matter how the credit card influencers want to tell you how great Chase Sapphire is, just stay away and head over to AMEX.
I’ve had Chase Bank for 2 years now and it had literally the biggest “Chase” to get my money when I deposit checks. Huntington has the best customer service. Not that Chase hasn’t tried to be polite but overall Huntington was a way better bank. They don’t have an issue cashing checks. I’ve been cashing the same check for 6 months at least. It’s not even that big of a check. They still can only clear $500 and that’s when they can do that. Chase is trash for real. I’m pulling out of Chase personally because they don’t do business well. They’re trying to tell me that if I deposit a check on Saturday that it won’t clear until Tuesday??? Since when does it take that long to cash a check. This place is a joke . Nice people that work at my location but that doesn’t account for what they lack in actually banking capabilities. They told me two different stories about how a check gets cashed and what becomes available funds. They said after they cash the check a few times they would be able to stop the hold and just cash the check straight up and it would become available balance that I could use right then. I deposited a check today and they didn’t even give me an available balance to use. Overall I wouldn’t have given Chase a 1 star review but I had to put something on here to write the review. Good luck if you mess with Chase.
