Do not deal with this bank in Canada! I opened a merchant account, and after a year of smooth operations they closed it without explaining why. Months later I got a letter from collections saying I owed $510—even though I didn’t owe them a cent. I called, spent an hour on hold, and was told it was a mistake and my balance was zero. I asked for an email confirming that (based on past experiences with Canadian services), but they never sent it. A month later I received another email saying I still owed $510. I called again and listened to hold music for 20 minutes. I’ll keep you posted.

Chase is not what it used to be. For years I deposited my checks there. All of a sudden, they are rejecting the checks from the very same payors that they used to. A trip the the bank did not help. I guess they don't want my money.

Chase now demands a 4 step verification process for my accounts. Their 4th step doesn't work some of the time, leaving no way to do anything with the Chase account. Went to Bank. Bank says they changed things so I only need a 3 step verification. Go home. Try it. Doesn't work. Call Chase. Tell them to change to my cell number on 3rd step verification which Bank says they already did, but didn't. Customer service says my cell phone is listed correctly on my account. Tell them that's not the problem, it's the incorrect cell number on 3rd step verification; they say my cell number is correct. It isn't. Much more, but Chase, in my opinion, is just very, very inept.

Truly appalling and condescending behaviours from Chase Bank. As an early adopter of two Chase Bank accounts I am astonished at the lack of transparency and extremely poor service received from Chase and its erratic banking platform which cannot be trusted. In my opinion the behaviours of Chase when awarding boost bonuses to existing customers lacks transparency and offends FCA principles in ensuring Treating Customers Fairly is truly embedded in basic operations for customers. I recently received inaccurate advice as a direct result of which I received ZERO interest. Chase could not care less, sadly ! The banking platform is decidely shaky if you have the misfortune to join. Its sad that a previous reputable brand has recently sunk to such appalling standards.Caveat emptor Update 22/11/25. Despite a full letter narrating my recent bad experience absolutely no response whatsover from Chase. This omission speaks volumes about their approach to customer care !

1 star because there is not a 0 for rating. Disputed a charge on my card, per NC law both parties have to sign to make a contract legal and binding. I cancelled a service with a vendor. They sent in a contract signed by me but not them and demanded their money from Chase. I provided the statues per NC law showing that in this case all three parties had to sign in order for it to be legal and binding, they ruled in the other parties' favor. Actually, said they don't play lawyer but quoted that the amount in dispute was nonrefundable. GO with AMEX- they have your back and understand common sense.

Where do we start. I am on hold on a long phone call to remove a phone number on our account that we wanted removed. Why can't we remove it while logged in? Terrible in/unsecure Chase policy. A while back we were scammed while traveling. We paid a check in the local currency but the bar charged us in USD. Instead of $65 it was $1800, for 4 drinks. Chase refused to block the charge. Do not trust Chase. Chase invests billions of client money into fossil fuel expansion. We are down to one account and will be closing that soon. Terrible company. My old review has disappeared. Terrible but powerful company. Another monopoly that needs to be broken up.

Chase just cut my credit line in HALF because apparently I want using it enough for their tastes. No late payments, nothing due, great credit. Customer service is useless and just reads the same letter back to me. Absolutely horrible company!

Pretty damned bad. Not the worst, but for the largest bank in the US... they should be EXCEEDING expectations, NOT beneath the threshold of minimal standards. Very crappy Bonus program, which CANNOT be combined with the FAKE $75 Referral Bonus SCAM -- I was SUPPOSED to receive $300 and my friend $75. Guess what? Only I got $225. And I am intelligible for a single bonus for three years AFTER account closure, while she will never get a single one. Outrageous. Furthermore, the $12 banking fees that were SUPPOSED to be waived were in fact NOT, and the "ATM fee Reimbursement" was a LIE. Finally, they do try to scam their customers with Overdraft fees they pull out of their ass + fabricate on a whim. Way to abuse 70 year old pensioners, scumfaces!!!

I would recommend Chase credit card members to be very cautious of using your points for gift cards. This is my second occasion in a row where I have ordered physical gift cards for presents and either never received them or they came extremely late. The first time when it didn't show in 10 business days, I called and spoke with a rude female that said it was on it's way and I just needed to wait at least 3 more days. I asked her if she could confirm that the card was sent because I did not receive the usual confirmation e-mail. She rudely said yes. I then asked for a supervisor who completely contradicted what the woman told me as he could not find any tracking/shipping information and thought that the card shipment had never left the vendor. All they could do was offer to send a replacement. I told him that would be too late and just cancel the order to which he said "well I can't give you your points back on your account for at least two weeks. We have to file an inquiry with our card vendor". It took them about three weeks to get my points finally added back. At no time did anyone that I spoke to give the least bit of sympathy or apology for the inconvenience. They just kept blaming the gift card vendor they use. The I ordered one and opted for the $10 expedited shipment through UPS. Guaranteed 3-4 Business day delivery. Today is day four and the UPS website has a message saying my package has been delayed with no estimated delivery date. I spoke with UPS and they said at best guess, maybe three or four more days otherwise it is considered lost and I'd have to work with Chase for reimbursement. Assuming that is the case then I am going to have to go through the same antiquated procedures to get my points back as I don't need the physical card now. The only success I've had is getting the card sent to me electronically via e-mail.

APPALLING BANK I have been locked out of my account several times, each time being required to go through the rigmarole of inputting all my data and proof of identity again, even though I have set up biometric data. Although the call centre staff have tried to be helpful, They have been unable to work out why this is happening but the problem persists so I am closing my account, to do this, I have to have access to the account, so I am stuck in the loop again! Asked to speak to a supervisor but there was no response - would not recommend them to anyone.

I paid my bill off every month 100%. Then the fallowing month charged 37.97 - an interest charge for nothing? They are so politely lied and deceitful.

I want to pay off the balance and cancel the card, so I'm deaf, so I've written to them several times asking them to send me an invoice for the remaining balance, but they just told me to call them. I explained that I'm deaf, but I haven't heard back since. The annual fee is due at the end of the year, so I want a response before then, and since I haven't received an invoice, I can't pay it. I don't even know how much I have left, so what should I do? Should I consult a lawyer?

I tried to merge my two credit accounts into one Mobile banking account. It took me three months of waiting and several calls where I was told I needed to resolve the same issue, which in the previous calls I had been it had been resolved. The worst thing is that I got a completely different service when I spoke to the representatives in English vs Spanish. When I spoke in Spanish the representatives didn’t have the same access to the system. I had to call and choose an English speaking representative to finally resolve the issue. This is a clear discrimination against non English speaking customers.

I have a chase reserve. The yearly fee just went up . Some of the perks work for me others do not . Why the one star . I lost my card and it will take them 4 days to express replace . American Express platinum will overnights it . Thank goodness I’m not traveling. The service doesn’t warrant the fee

Truly awful service. tried to move a modest amount of money to another account in my name. They stopped the transaction, for a second time! Then it took over an hour on the phone to people who were just reading from a script and not listening to me. Also their accents were barely understandable. I will shut down my account immediately. Again truly awful

Decided to get Amazon’s Prime Visa 5% back issued by Chase. Received my card, added it to Apple Wallet and first time ysing at CVS my purchased was declined by Chase due to “suspected fraud,” How stupid is Chase? They USPS mail out new credit cards THAT NEED NO ACTIVATION, yet they have so many steps one needs to perform to access their App. Amazon should seriously change card issuer: Chase us the worse; will not be keeping this card.

I previously placed a rental car reservation through Chase travel and as I no longer needed it due to my companions having a large enough car for everyone, I was told by the rental service upon my arrival that I can simply cancel the reservation through Chase and neither myself or Chase will be charged by the rental service. I was on the call with CX who verbally confirmed with me and I heard her confirm with another person within Chase or with the rental service that there were not charges and it was ok to proceed with a refund. The CX agent asked me to verbally authorize the refund which I did. Moments later she completely backtracked from the agreement and said that it was against the rules to offer me a refund due to it being a "nonrefundable" reservation - which is NOT clearly stated when I placed the reservation. This is so misleading, I was on the phone hearing the conversation between the CX agent and the rental car agent saying nothing would be charged yet here I am still forced to pay $300 to Chase. This is practically swindling - it is so dishonest and unethical especially to initially promise me a refund and then backtrack on it. By no means was there any alternative or one time courtesy refund or any offers of offering me travel credits for a future reservation. I can be certain from now on I will never book directly through Chase travel is this is the level of dishonesty in the service to be expected.

Don’t bank with Chase! They are scam and did lots of business with Jeffry Epstein. Applied for Chase credit card, had to call in to verify some info on my credit report. A few days later I got some unauthorized transactions on my other credit cards. Only the Overseas Chase team from India would have this sensitive information. If you don’t want your money stolen, Stay away from Chase!!
