Took delivery of my 2019 ford ranger yesterday, delivery man was great he called and let me know what time he will be arriving. took my truck off the loader, showed me the features, went through the paperwork and made sure i was happy with everything. went out for a drive this morning and what a truck to drive!
i started on my own as a handyman and needed my first van to work with. went to their showroom to have a look at some options. sat down with Layton and spent 15 minutes comparing vans until we found the right one. he was so patient and understanding and gave me some great advice. i ordered some new equipment and shelving for the van which they offered to fit it all in for me which was a great help and i honestly cant thank the guys there enough.
i was recommend by a friend who bought his new work van from here. jason showed me around the van and took me on a test drive. van came with full history and inspection report and with the 3 years warranty i bought i have full peace of mind.
On 29th June 2023 I purchased a Land Rover Discovery Sport from CAR FIRM. At the time of purchasing the vehicle I also purchased the premium warranty service through AUTOGUARD WARRANTIES.
The next day I notified CAR FIRM that there was a smell of burning rubber every time the car had stopped or was at a standstill from being driven. 7 days later CAR FIRM instructed me to get a diagnostic done on the vehicle from a local garage which confirmed that the car required a replacement clutch and I should not be driving the vehicle anywhere else. The Manager of CAR FIRM, Adam KHAN told me to go and get quotes from local VAT registered garages then fused to communicate with me going forward.
On Monday 10th July 2023 having found a garage, the mechanic informed me that the car had a burnt-out clutch and Dual mass flywheel costing just under £2400 to fix.
On Tuesday 11th July 2023 I contacted CAR FIRM to confirm how they intended to pay for the repairs. CAR FIRM refused to pay for the repairs. This put me in a very awkward position where I had to pay for the repairs myself. Also, I had discovered that the premium warranty had not been set up.
On the 22nd July 2023 3 weeks after a lot of phone calls back and forth; CAR FIRM confirmed that my warranty with AUTOGUARD was set up. I noticed that the account start date appeared to be back dated to when it should have been made active 3 weeks earlier. This meant that I was only getting 49 weeks of warranty cover instead of 52 weeks. We also realised that the V5 log had not arrived.
On the 9th October 2023 we had to completed a V62 form requesting a V5 log from the DVLA as the new registered keeper of the vehicle. As CAR FIRM failed to do this.
I started court proceedings as CAR FIRM refused to talk to me. After a 2-year process through small claims court We won our case and got the full refund for the repairs and court cost. We even use the trust pilot reviews as evidence to show that CAR FIRM are a dodgy corrupt second-hand car dealership that bring in cars and stick a fresh MOT on them regardless of their condition and take your money and will lie and fob you off to keep your cash.
If you choose to ignore this review, then please take this advice; RECORD EVERYTHING! Emails, phone calls and all documents as you will need it for when you go to court to get your money back. Also do not believe a word the manager Adam KHAN says as he is a has no problem lying to a County Court Judge to keep your money. He will certainly lie to you.
Or do the sensible thing and stay away from CAR FIRM.
Awful customer service. They do not Callie email you back. After sales is non existent. My car was delivery with damage and after 5 weeks and numerous emails they still haven’t arranged to it to be fixed but then again it took them ages to deliver it in the first place. Unless you want hassle do not bother with this company.
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT SERIOUSLY Buy a car from this company, The car was delivered in the evening in the dark, This company delivered a car that was defective the wheel at the front was loose, an independent mechanic said in his words, MY GOD IVE NEVER SEEN A CAR DELIVERED IN SUCH A DREADFUL DANGEROUS STATE OF REPAIR THE PERSON DRIVING THIS COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!!!!!! On reporting this there was no communication in simple terms they deliberately ignored me after numerous attempts they replied saying the fault was my fault I’d damaged the vehicle, in short they sell you a defective dangerous car then steal your money, my credit card company have refunded me after a long period of stress and anxiety Do Not Do Not use this company they sell defective cars then turn there back on you !!!!!!!!!!
This company is very dishonourable in that they do not return a holding deposit when requested. It now makes sense how that can keep their prices down because they make extra profit in unreturned deposits. Why was I not surprised when I was told that I world get my refundable deposit back when I paid it and when I asked for it back I was told that I could not claim it back. They are a bunch of typical lying car salesmen without any integrity whatsoever. If I do not get a positive reply from this review I will post again and again and on social media if I must and will warn unsuspecting car buyers to beware of these people. I ask them to do the honourable thing. I did make a request on their online chat to absolutely no avail as I never even got an acknowledgment. The one star I did give was for the young car salesman in the Luton branch who was very pleasant and helpful.
I urge anyone who is looking to purchase a used car to AVOID Car Firm on the A1 in Peterborough at all costs! I purchased a car on the 13th January 2023 and It was delivered with a fault which they refused to acknowledge or help with. Within 2 weeks some serious faults occurred and I had a car garage take a look at the issues (at car firms request) and was told the vehicle was not road worthy and I could have had a serious accident. Under consumer law and after taking advice from citizens advice they told me that I was within my rights to reject the car and for them to refund me.. they completely refused and constantly lied to me and my partner. I am 2 months nearly down the line and have luckily now managed to get my money back through section 75 of the credit card charge back but I strongly urge anyone thinking of purchasing from these clowns to walk away and go elsewhere. They also fobbed off Lloyds bank with bullsh!t excuses as to why they couldn’t speak to them. Adam Khan and the rest of the gang have been reported to trading standards who are currently investigating these scammers. All you need to do is look at their 1 star reviews and you’ll see I’m not the only one.
Home delivery option was a great solution. This dealer was over 3 hrs away but they had the car in the exact spec and colour I wanted. Went through a lot of information with them over the phone and after having an online viewing I got the car delivered. So easy and straight forward
My father reserved a vehicle, they took £5,000 off him, remainder to be paid the following working day. The vehicle had no MOT so he couldn’t drive it away anyway. We have Discovered that the vehicle had previously been in an accident causing significant damage to the rear! When contacting them to cancel and ask for the money back they have said no refunds! Off to the Motor Ombudsman we go! Do not deal with this garage! Shocking place!
Bought my son his first car, (2nd car bought from this dealership) the lads were great with my son especially Adil! Great purchase, my son loves his car! 👍🏻 Would most definitely recommend.
I bought my car yesterday from the lads at car firm yesterday, this has been a dream come true! I love my Range Rover, the service the advice and the level of professionalism has been remarkable. The sales men are very knowledgeable and understood what my requirements were and assisted in helping me make the right choice. I had plenty of choice to choose from in terms stock of availability!

Bought a car and returned it within an hour, 4 wheel drive system faulty, sales manager refused a refund stating dealers have a right to repair. They don't, consumers rights act 2015 states consumers have a short term right to reject up to 30 days for a full refund. I have received full payment today through my banks chargeback scheme from 14th July when I bought the car. This company also threatened to charge me £20 per day for storage from July on a car I returned on the day of purchase. Drive past, don't stop here and if you do know your rights they will try anything to keep your money...I would give -5 star but there isn't one...
