Review summary

Car Chase Heroes receives mixed feedback from customers, with many praising the driving experience and the quality of the cars, while others express significant dissatisfaction. Reviewers highlight the excitement of driving various cars, particularly noting the E-Type and GT500 as standout experiences. Many appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, especially during the booking process. However, numerous complaints arise regarding the condition of the cars, with some stating they were far from perfect and had technical issues. Additionally, long wait times and disorganization are common themes, with several customers reporting frustrating delays and poor communication from staff. Overall, while some enjoy the thrill of the experience, the negative aspects related to car quality and operational inefficiencies overshadow the positives for many.

Had a great day

Had a great day, two drives one in the capri and the other in E type. My favourite has to be the E type what an amazing car to drive. However only down side was the instructor in the capri he was very abrupt, and gave the impression he didn’t want to be there. On the other hand the E type instructor was a breath of fresh air, and made the drive a better experience. Chase car drive and driver again a great experience. Overall great day would of been better if the capri instructor had the same attitude as the others

My second time doing a 4 car day. Had a great time again, staff make you feel safe but allow you to push the cars to your ability if you fancy a fast drive. Extra laps when you are out on the track is a great option, I drove 2 cars for extra laps again. I will definitely be doing another 4 car day before too long. Highly recommended!

I honestly couldn’t fault the experience. I purchased a 3 car drive with a high speed passenger drive for my other half for a father days gift with virgin and then booked in. It was very busy but it was so organised and it run and flowed without any fault we know exactly where we were in the queue at all time so we pile go off for food and drinks and come back when it was closer to the time of your turn with the car. Honestly I would highly recommend and I think my partner will be back for a 2nd turn.

Booked to drive Subaru

Booked to drive Subaru , focus and mustang ! focus failed safety check so had to choose something else, I chose the caterham! Guy in the mustang was fine but very tame, telling me when to change gear etc , the guy in the Subaru was spot on let me basically drive with hardly any input. The caterham well, the instructor treated me like I was a child when he wasn’t much older than a child himself and was very abrupt, as a representative of this company I think he needs some pr training. Maybe helmets with comms would help in open top cars. It was good day until this last car !!!!!

Wouldn't recommend unfortunately

This was bought as a Christmas present for our son. Its a junior track day, but there was no availability for the included car outside of school hours or on a weekend. So we had to pay for an upgrade. Then add in the damage waiver, it turned into an expensive experience for us! On the day, we had a bit of a wait, but not too bad. They make it very difficult to take pictures or videos too! My son was down to have 3 laps, but we only counted 2 and so did he. It seemed like he was out for 5 minutes! Not the best experience for what it costs. Photos and videos at the end are extortionate too. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately

Cars far from perfect condition, a bit of a let down

Cars far from perfect condition. On arrival was told that the Lotus Evora had a technical issue. No choice I had to take the only replacement car on offer; a Mustang. I had wanted more track focused cars. Hey ho! It was what it was. My first drive was in a Porsche Caymen. It had a gearbox or fueling issue that meant that meant it bogged down horrendously on hard acceleration...disappointing. Then into the R8. I was immediately told that it had an issue with the paddle gear change and that I would have to use the stick shift. OK but not perfect. I also did not like the tone and manner of the instructor in the R8, he was overly aggressive in his delivery of the rules. I understand that safety comes first but I am 60 years old and respond better to polite conversation rather than a school teacher attitude. I did enjoy the day, but would have enjoyed it more if I had been able to drive all the cars I had chosen, or similar replacements. Also be warned, you will end up spending around £100 plus on extras like extra laps, videos, fast laps etc.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company! We arrived at 2 as instructed, waited 45 minutes to sign in then got told to go wait till our name was called. 3 hours later we were told the track was now closed. Did not get to drive a single car. Total waste of a day. Staff extremely unorganised and unprofessional, no-one informed anyone of what was happening or that the track had closed, we heard through other customers. No refund given.

Bit of a shambles

Where to start... £2 to park, had people barking out your last name to come to front and drive your car of choice. Cars felt worn out, kind of understandable but when your signing damage waivers and the car's are already displaying errors on the dashboard 🤨. The R32 GTR instructor talking like its your driving test, I get its a old mechanical car, ive been driving 20 year I dont need people to pull the steering wheel towards the apex at 40 mph and telling me when to change gear, plus 3rd into 4th has a crunch and there is no power at lower revs. Mirrors are set for the instructor not the driver which doesn't help. The other cars I drove were fine and the instructors were cool. Dont bother if your expecting to go all out unaided and don't bother driving the older cars you can't enjoy them. Too much traffic on the track. All in all dont expect an amazing experience just a pootle in some fast cars. Daughter loved the fast lap!

Deeply Disappointing – My 12-Year-Old Left in Tears

I booked a junior driving experience for my 12-year-old son, paying over £100 (including the cancellation and damage waiver, photos, sighting lap, and a high-speed passenger ride). Sadly, what should have been a fun and memorable day ended in tears. • Instructor Issues: My son came out of the car visibly upset. Soon as he got into our car to go home, he burst into tears. He told me he couldn’t understand the instructor properly and that instead of patiently guiding him, the instructor shouted at him. The excuse given was "health and safety," but there is no video evidence, so it’s simply my son’s word against the instructor’s. The reason we got was "Raising his voice or even shouting at a driver would only ever be a last resort but almost certainly meant that there was imminent danger that he was trying his best to save your son from." As a parent, I trust my child’s account of his experience. He said he wasnt shouted at once, but an few times. • Hardly Any Driving: My son was denied the opportunity to actually drive the car properly. He said the instructor didn’t let him handle the steering wheel around 70% of the time, which completely defeats the purpose of a junior driving experience. • Emotional Impact: My son was so shaken and upset that he didn’t even want to look at the photos we had paid for or go on the high-speed passenger ride. What was supposed to be exciting turned into a negative, confidence-knocking memory. • Refund Frustration: Despite paying over £100, I had to fight to get even £20 back. Given how upsetting the experience was, this token refund felt insulting. This was supposed to be a special treat, but instead, it left my son feeling discouraged and upset. For the price paid, I expected a safe, supportive, and positive environment—not one where a child is shouted at, denied the chance to properly drive, and left in tears. In summary: I cannot recommend Car Chase Heroes for junior driving experiences. They need to review their instructors’ approach, provide recordings for accountability, and treat unhappy customers far more fairly when an experience goes so badly wrong.

Shambolic Carbage

Shambolic Carbage Knackered cars Have to argue with staff when brought my son in after 2 laps instead of 3. Paid for photos that have not been sent. Staff unable to hold a conversation without wondering off. It’s just a very tired, sad, cynical money making exercise. My son said he’d have rather gone karting. He enjoyed the Lamborghini though. Mainly thanks to an instructor who lets them actually have a go instead of pootling along. The Audi R8 was very disappointing. The instructor just couldn’t be bothered.

The ladies checking you in at the start…

The ladies checking you in at the start are so polite and accommodating. You really cannot fault them. However from then on it goes downhill. It’s so poorly ran that the people sat at the front randomly call out names are so disorganised. 28th August at around 9am the guy calling out peoples names called my boyfriend out twice and he was also down on their timetable system to be next. My boyfriend got into one of the cars and then they called out his name a few times. I went up to the guy calling out the names and said ‘I’m sorry I think you’ve called my boyfriends name a few times but just to let you know he’s already in one of cars’ no joke the guy acted like I was crap on his shoe and carried on talking and ignored me. So I thought he wasn’t bothered so I was like ‘ok whatever’ and walked off. Next minute one man(one of the workers) was shouting EXCUSE ME. OI. EXCUSE ME. HELLO. WHATS YOUR PROBLEM. Which everything is so loud you can hardly hear people really, I tried to explain that they have my boyfriend down as next on both cars and he was so aggressive and rude he came right up to my face practically acting like a bully. I tried to say I was just trying to help them out and he was like ‘well I wanted to know what YOUR problem was because you said whatever’ he started saying that they have a system and they know what they’re doing. Which I replied like I don’t know what your system is so I was trying to help. He carried on being so aggressive I’ve never been spoken to like he has in my life. If the company would like to get in contact with me about who it was I’d happily send a picture. No one should be spoken to the way he spoke never mind a paying customer. The fact that they only spoke to me because I said ‘ok whatever’ because the guy thought it was ok to blank me. Then they got all aggressive because I said something about their behaviour. Especially women I would really avoid this place.

The driving experience for my two…

The driving experience for my two grandchildren and son in law was good but the used scare tactics to bully my daughter into buying the ‘optional’ crash waiver insurance, my daughter told them twice she did not want it, it was already an anxious day as both children have special needs and they tried to scare her by saying if anyone else crashes into the car your son is in you will be liable, totally ruined it for her as she was worried the whole time, this practice is illegal, you can’t coerce customers into buying this by scaring them to death, my daughter is on maternity pay and after paying £87 for this ‘insurance’ was short all week, they have been reported to trading standards and her bank for a charge back as you should take no for an answer! Please avoid this company, use a different one with better morals

The drives were brilliant and the accompanying drivers friendly and professional. But it was a very long wait. It felt very basic and muddled. There must be a better way to organise it than making people wait for two hours in the rain waiting for their name to be called.
