After being with Alinta from 2017 to July 2025, I thought I was pleased with everything until I moved from semi rural to the outer suburbs of Newcastle. I’ve been charged an extra 100c more than competitors. It honestly pays to shop around!!
The young lady was most helpful & friendly
There is no way to put lower stars. DO NOT use alinta energy, they have taken 2 1/2 months to install a gas meter. Zero comms, zero care factor. This has caused significant delays, and after ringing to find what the hold up is, refused to transfer me to complaints/escalations, as they 'think we have a solution so we will reject your complaint'! Go with AGL, save yourself months of worthless frustration!
10 weeks to transition our Gas account is unacceptable particularly without pre advice .You have probably had a price increase since I agreed to move !!!
To be honest it is very simple and easy to set up the account.
