Be very careful with this company, wanted to check when my MOT was due, somehow managed to get onto this site. I now find that they are taking £7.95 a month out of my account. This is definitely scam country.
very easy to complete
If I could give them ZERO stars - I would! I'm another deceived person to add to the queue of people here. We clicked on what we thought was a link to tax a car and then got this sh*t! Very deceitful way of marketing themselves as a government website for car tax. Got charged £7.95 for some BS subscription. They would not budge and stated their system is very clearly....very clearly meant to deceive more like! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Why are you taking money from my bank account? I just realised. I didn’t register, I don’t know how. I just tried to check tax on my car 4 months ago. I don’t know what happened.

Misleading from the get go. Made an enquiry on a vehicle I was looking to buy. Was charged 50p. Didn’t read the small print so, unwittingly, I had signed up rot a monthly fee of £7.95. On checking my bank statement I realised I’ve been paying since June last year. Apparently, I had a month free and was supposed to cancel if I didn’t want the service. Suggestion, MAKE THAT CLEAR! I haven’t used the service since that one and only time and can’t claim the money back. Lesson learned I suppose but just feel I’ve been scammed. BEWARE!

Usually my reviews are positive, but this one isn't. I received my vehicle tax reminder as normal, and today I went to the site specified on it (gov.uk), filled out the form and paid the £35 due for the year. I then received a receipt from vehicleinformation.uk which didn't specify the amount I'd paid or what it was for, and also indicated that it was going to take a further payment ie: "Your next bill of £7.95 will be taken on 2024-02-02 for continued service." Over my dead body. I checked the car status on the DVLA site and it still shows that my car needs taxing. I've emailed vehicle information service to try and get some sort of explanation. Will update later, but at the moment, my view is that anyone about to tax their car should do it through the official DVLA site and not through the link on the reminder - which led me into this mire. It looks like a scam at the moment. Anyone who has "taxed" their car using vehicleinformation.uk should check that their vehicle has actually been taxed and that no further payments have been taken beyond the cost of the tax! OK so I looked at the information provided down the right hand side of the reviews for vehicleinformation.uk and towards the end it says this: "Please note: Vehicle tax renewal is not provided through this service - for this you must visit the Government website or a Post Office." I think that about clears it up. Anyone who thinks they're renewing their car tax via vehicleinformation.uk is on the wrong site! You have 24 hours only to close the account before they start hitting you with a monthly payment of £7.95. If that's what you want then fair enough but if you want to tax your car then don't do it through the link on your reminder as it takes you to this lot. This is one of the most blatant rip offs I've ever seen.
