I banked with Wells Fargo over 20years.
This bank has to be broken up into small pieces.
Wells Fargo is not trustworthy.
I took out a revolver home loan, fully amortising no negative amortisation.
Wells Fargo gave me 100% exactly the opposite of what i asked for.
Wells Fargo ALSO refused me to scribble the note regarding the "amortising and no negative amortisation.
After 20 yrs with Wells.....
I took out a businessline of credit.
They gave me a private banker, just call and the private banker helped.
One day i called, Wells Fargo said, "Please don't ever call this number again".....LOL.
No joke, i thought it was a joke.
When i finally called back and spoke to the private banker, she said. Things have changed- DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN.
Business had slowed up a little, but nothing to justify "DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN".
Then few years later, business did get rough.
Chinese, Pakistan imports were flooding the U.S. and there was no tax duty protection for U.S. mfrs.
I struggled through- but it was the beginning of the end.
So, i went to Wells Fargo to borrow money from my personal savings account to lend to my Corporation.
When i checked my private personal savings account it was emptied out.
I ASKED ......where's my money?
"Offset".
That's the answer.
"Offset" {nothing else} "call customer service".....who refer me to the Private Banker- who ..........doesn't take calls.
So...you feeling lucky?
Sure why not.
I went to the bank put money into my Wells Fargo personal private bank account- and the branch manager approached me and upsold me a special deal.
You close 1 old account and open 3 new accounts.
Close the old "monthly fee" savings account.
Open a new "no fee" savings account.
Open a new checking acct. "oh- ya, of course, also no fees".
Open a debit card account with a debit overdraft balance....[which i don't want or need].
No fee.....nadda.
What do you think happened?
LOL.
Fees, penalties, interest wiped out my saving balance......
i NEVER WALKED back into Wells Fargo and i warn everyone i can to be very careful.
Why take a chance?
