Watch out if you have your homeowners insurance in your escrow!
Be careful if you have your mortgage through Wells Fargo. When they pay mortgage homeowners insurance, they send a batch check which includes several peoples policy amounts. But because of this my payment did not get recorded and it took me eight months to get it straightened out. When I asked Wells Fargo for help to get it straightened out they said it was not their responsibility. They said for this year to be sure to call and ask for an individual check. So that’s what I’m doing and so far I’m on my third phone call and apparently I have to upload things to a website as well as send an email. It’s extremely inefficient. What are the odds that this will be successful this year?
