I love this class
I love this class. It’s a safe, nurturing environment for babies and their parents to learn new skills. Anna is an amazing teacher and we’ve loved every session.

An amazing class, I was extremely nervous starting however, i was mad e to feel welcome and put at ease. Our teacher is amazing and is giving myself and my son amazing skills. We are both loving our waterbabies experience
So much fun my daughter and I love it and emileigh our teacher is so lovely
Our teacher is so lovely and friendly, and really makes our lessons enjoyable. I can already see how much my son has come on, and how confident he is getting in the water - it's also been a fantastic way for us to bond even more.
The lessons themselves are incredible. It’s so memorising to see your baby swim and gain confidence in the water. We started as soon as we could and I think it brought on her development by leaps and bounds in comparison to peers. The started walking at 9 months. The reason I rate three stars is because you are not able to get credits for missed lessons. We had a month were we missed three lessons because she was sick one week, then we went on holiday and the following week so we missed three lessons and had to pay for them all. Based on the price of the lessons I think it should be simpler to arrange credits. It would be nice if both parents could attend the swimming lesson. It would make changing after swimming a lot easier.
Been with Water Babies since November 2024 with my 12 month old and sadly have had to cancel my membership due to how many times in a monthly period the lessons are cancelled. The half an hour lesson a week that is shared with another 10 infants and there peers in all honesty isn't enough, I felt I was having to wing it when it came to parts of the lessons that were purely used to encourage your little one to gain confidence in the water and practice skills. For the cost of each lesson at £17.50 for half an hour, the group should be halved to give a more intimate lesson and attention to both parents and their young ones. In the 5 month I had brought my son to lessons, excluding the set backs for when atleast 2 lessons a month has been cancelled I feel my son has getting no further forward with his confidence or ability to gain skills so been a waste of money sadly.
Both me and my son have loved water babies the lessons are fun and involved. But it’s not just solely games I feel like he is learning important swimming skills too. We’ve been going to the lessons since he was 3 months old and he has now just turned 2. He is so so confident and happy in the water and I think these lessons are a huge part of that.
Lilah has been swimming since she was 9 months old with WaterBabies. She is 3.5 years old now and is almost there in swimming on her own she is so confident around water and looks forward every week to her lesson such a water baby
We have Absolutley loved the swimming lessons with Kim. Kim is patient and kind, even when we might be having a bad day due to tiredness there is no pressure and we do what we can. We are going to miss our lessons with Kim immensely
Really well run lessons and the pool is warm and clean. My only issue is the changing facilities I wish they would install wall mounted changing tables (like Center parcs etc)
Best experience for learning to swim and ensure they know how to safely get in and out of water
Water Babies swimming classes are excellent. Louise the instructor is attentive and always makes sure that both babies and parents are comfortable. Well structured classes are fun and we have seen a big change in our little one. I would highly recommend.
Absolutely fab sessions in a lovely swimming pool - thank you water babies
We have recently started with our 3 nearly 4 year old and wow!!! The skills he is picking up every week is incredible and life saving. He smiles for 30 minutes and I cannot wait to continue to see him flourish. Thanks Abbie (Fontwell)
This review is 5 stars only because of Cici at St John's. She is an incredible person and teacher. She makes all the negative experiences with this company disappear as soon as we're welcomed by her smiling face and genuine demeanour. I really mean genuine - you can tell she cares, she loves children, and she wants to see your child succeed. It actually makes me emotional typing this. My son has sensitivities and feels energies, and as soon as we met Cici and experienced our first session with her, I knew she was the right one! We have had fine experiences with other teachers here but Cici is on another level. My son's engagement and joy (joy is another word for Cici!) in every lesson has been an utter treat to witness. I am so grateful to her beautiful spirit, patience, and sheer talent as a teacher (and human!).
My daughter swam with water babies from 10 months, she’s now 3 and still in the programme, swimming lesson day is her favourite day of the week and she talks about it all the time! We love water babies ❤️
We have recently started swimming lessons for our son on a Sunday morning at Hempstalls with Lucy! Lucy is amazing! She takes the time to really explain things & the confidence our little boy now has is amazing! She really knows how to push for that little bit more, which is what we wanted! The progress is such a short amount of time is phenomenal. We really feel like nothing is ever too much for Lucy and would highly highly recommend! (The pool is also lovely and warm which is a nice added bonus!)
Mila is enjoying her lessons with her new swimming friends . Her teacher is great and we are really seeing progress whilst having fun.
First of all,Teacher Gemma is great and my baby girl loves her and always enjoys her swimming lessons. This feedback is about the company and poor Customer Service at the office at Worksop. People who sent you emails without even signing it so you don’t know any names… Unprofessional and disappointing. Small business which needs a huge improvement in policies and employees. They will cancel your lesson less than 24hrs and it’s ok to get a refund. They will cancel lesson week before due to half term and you will get a refund. BUT if you are absent for whatever reason they will NOT do credit or refund. They will offer as a “GESTURE OF GOODWILL “to book catch up lesson ( different teachers and locations) so I just looked now and it’s 45mins drive with no traffic. Why would I be paying anything from £80-£90 per month so my baby swims in the location where I want her to swim to then drive somewhere else?Who will cover my additional time and petrol? They stated :This is being “fair” to their customers. I recommended Water Babies to so many people (too many)who joined including two friends who swim with me and now I will leave feedback on every social media website to make sure people are aware not to join. They also say they explain to you policy and cancellation rules (you need to cancel 4 weeks in advance) I only found out from reviews on here. They did not explain this at all. They also say they ring you to check up if everything is fine. Well… we started in January and no one ever rang me. They tried to ring this morning after I sent chasing email yesterday as no one was responding to me. Shame on you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. *edit* You already emailed me and told me lesson can not be credited or refunded so there is nothing to discuss.
Kerrie the teacher at water babies was excellent she was lovely and made the class feel comfortable. However sadly my little one didn’t take to the classes potentially due to her being too young. I was too late when I made this decision not to go back and a 2nd block payment was taken from my account. After discussing the issue with water babies they agreed to refund me this which was really helpful. Maybe just advice please be mindful of the cancellation before signing up and always discuss with water babies if you are unsure your baby is enjoying the class straight away.
