Fantastic trip. Excellent food. Marion from travel Department brilliant leader, so pleasant. I would highly recommend River Cruises. I intend to go on some more River Trips. I ws on Rhine Solo Cruise.

From arrival at Athens airport to departure a week later everything was very well organised Very interesting and enjoyable visits to so many iconic sites in Greece Good hotels, particularly the one in Athens which was very comfortable. An excellent guide. Tolo was a very appropriate venue for our rest day.

18/9/24 went to tuscany stayed in montecatini,Claudia was our guide she was exceptional kept a very close eye on everyone very knowledgeable about everything, like all the guides, drivers were brilliant,though alot of them different one every day,tipping them all a bit much,but can't be helped, excursions unbelievable, hotel, and food super,though hotels in Riva lake garda not great anymore and too far away from centre of town, its my favourite place haven't been there for a while with you for that reason Sad,,but holidays over all fantastic.

Everything was done exactly the way we were hoping it would. Top class.

Very well organised trip. All aspects covered from booking through to flights and quality accommodation in all cities. We had an exceptionally knowledgeable guide who managed all events transfers and visits very professionally. I would recommend highly.

The best part of these holidays is that all the donkey work is done so one can relax and enjoy the whole experience, which, in this instance was great. What I I am querying is the demotion to B&B status. I have been travelling with The Travel Department since 2004 and all destinations up to Como, 2024, have included dinner. Nobody alerted me to this change so I was very surprised when I noticed B&B status on the documentation. I would be interested to know why this change now? Regards, Agnes McEvilly. (18/9/24-25/9/24)

Well I have travelled with you the last number of years and have enjoyed every one. The guides have been really great overall , only one we had issues with. I would prefer a morning flight where possible as you miss out on a day when it's an evening or night flight. I have met some great friends and have travelled with them on other holidays do that's great . It's great to have full board on the long haul trips but even it's in Europe B n B is fine . Overall my long and short haul trips have been a great experience. Keep it up ..

Keep doing what your doing just one thing a later flight would be the icing on the cake.

Great team home and away

I go to Tuscany to charge my cultural and artistic senses. To have a gold standard travel company assist me in achieving that is a necessary accompaniment. The flight, hotel, guide, transport personnel and the other travellers all combined to make my holiday a joy.

Both hotels were great. Lila, the guide, had great knowledge and excellent English. While there were traffic issues in Athens, thus making a couple of the tours extra long, the trips were really interesting. Loved it.

We had a fantastic trip to China. Our guide, Jack, was absolutely first rate. The standard of the accommodation and food was top class. The sites we visited were very historic, interesting and must-see. On the contra side was the all too obvious state of surveiliance, but no surprise in that. We had a couple of bad experiences with Emirates Airline, but that wasn't within the Travel Department control. All in all, a definite thumbs-up and a very positive recommendation.

Poor customer service and support from Travel Department. Lake Garda itself is breathtaking but I would not recommend travelling with Travel Department.

Montenegro= we went an a very well organised and enjoyable tour of Montenegro. Our three guides were very good.The hotel Iberostar provided excellent accommodation wonderful cuisine and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It deserves 5 stars.

Good tour and visited lots of sites.

I have recently returned from a week in Lake Garda, Venice and Verona. The scenery was absolutely stunning and our guide, Karen, was excellent. She has an extensive knowledge of the history and geography of the area and I learned so much about the region from her. I would highly recommend this holiday.

recent holiday to 'Route 66', our guide David French and our driver Trinity, were both fabulous. Helpful, informative, professional, could not do enough to make the holiday special. Planning tours, visits, hotel check-in/out, recommending eating venues etc - wonderful, thank you. Lynda & Mike Cody

We had a wonderful trip to lake Como with travel department. Our guide Carol was fantastic and made our holiday. Hotel Bazzoni was perfect, great location with wonderful helpful staff. It’s a great location for getting to see different parts of the lake. Worth getting a lake view room. Hotel pool area however needs a bit of tlc. That aside we really enjoyed our holiday here and will use the Travel Department again.
