Great selection of snacks

Great selection of snacks, appropriate quantity and a highly informational pamphlet included about the box’ contents! I shared the snacks with my students and they enjoyed them a lot.

Tokyo Treat Halloween Box

My box arrived just in time to share with my Halloween party. It came with a very uniquely curated host of snacks, and a little booklet that talks about how the Japanese celebrate Halloween. This was my first box and I was considering making it my only one. After seeing the contents of this one, I think I'll become a repeat customer.

The selection in every box is amazing. There is something for everyone. Savoury, sweet even fizzy! I have had a few boxes now and will continue to do so as they are a lovely treat to myself. Love them!

Really neat Halloween Treats!

I enjoy the baked goods, ramen, and KitKats every time I get my box. Madame Gelée was rich in flavor and I really enjoyed the sour filling!

This was my first time trying TokyoTreat, the Halloween box was awesome!! I enjoyed the mix of sweet, salty, AND sour snacks, candy, or drinks. I'll definitely consider getting another one in the future :)

A yearly Halloween treat!

I get this once a year during Halloween as a treat! Really great variety of snacks, popular and new and traditional. I love that they always have a drink and a bag of kitkats. The kitkats go a long way and the drink is something extra special. The shipping is also fast! The only downside is the price, the value is equal to or less than the price of the box, adding shipping means it can be quite expensive. The box is mainly for those who do not have specialized Japanese markets locally. :) As a further breakdown, let me explain: "dagashi" items are small, cheap candies that are sprinkled into the box. You'll typically have... Say 5-8 of them? More or less. These items range from less than a dollar to a little bit more than a dollar (in USD). Then, you'll have your more standardized snacks that will cost $2-3, like Tomato Caramel Corn, a small bag of chocolates or gummies, etc. There will be a few handful of those medium sized snacks. Then the larger/more expensive items are things like the Kit-Kat bag, the drink (because it's heavy, it will cost more to ship!), and maybe an extra item like noodles. These items have a range of value from $3-7ish, adding in shipping bumps, and typically will have about 3 (guaranteed 2 bc of drink and kit-kats) of them. So, I would say the average box is actually about $20-$30 purchased locally. My shipping costs about $12.50 to Canada. As you can see, the value to cost has been raised by about 1/3! I've looked through other Japanese snack boxes and I still think Tokyo Treat is one of the better ones in terms of value and variety. Overall, it's good enough that I keep coming back every year, but too expensive for me to buy more often.

I have tried Tokyo Treat and Bokksu…

I have tried this and bokksu plus some random ones off Amazon and I will say you get a lot more with Tokyo Treat then bokksu, the price is the same, both give you a guide to the snacks and you can see upcoming boxes. I like both but TT is a better value, plus you can get bonus items if you use there codes, which I forgot to do this time around. Overall it's good value and full size snacks

Decent, but not high enough quality for the price

Boxes have a decent diversity of snacks, but often times have repeats after a few months. The kitkat’s (and anything else chocolate-y are always melted, so look forward to that. All in all, it’s a good novelty experience if you want to try it a few times
