A yearly Halloween treat!

I get this once a year during Halloween as a treat! Really great variety of snacks, popular and new and traditional. I love that they always have a drink and a bag of kitkats. The kitkats go a long way and the drink is something extra special. The shipping is also fast! The only downside is the price, the value is equal to or less than the price of the box, adding shipping means it can be quite expensive. The box is mainly for those who do not have specialized Japanese markets locally. :) As a further breakdown, let me explain: "dagashi" items are small, cheap candies that are sprinkled into the box. You'll typically have... Say 5-8 of them? More or less. These items range from less than a dollar to a little bit more than a dollar (in USD). Then, you'll have your more standardized snacks that will cost $2-3, like Tomato Caramel Corn, a small bag of chocolates or gummies, etc. There will be a few handful of those medium sized snacks. Then the larger/more expensive items are things like the Kit-Kat bag, the drink (because it's heavy, it will cost more to ship!), and maybe an extra item like noodles. These items have a range of value from $3-7ish, adding in shipping bumps, and typically will have about 3 (guaranteed 2 bc of drink and kit-kats) of them. So, I would say the average box is actually about $20-$30 purchased locally. My shipping costs about $12.50 to Canada. As you can see, the value to cost has been raised by about 1/3! I've looked through other Japanese snack boxes and I still think Tokyo Treat is one of the better ones in terms of value and variety. Overall, it's good enough that I keep coming back every year, but too expensive for me to buy more often.
