Tori and Ethan and the team have been great throughout the very long and arduous process of buying our house. The whole process has taken 9 months due to delays (totally out of Talbot’s control) first with Land Registry plans and then a flood in the house from a burst pipe, causing the ceiling to collapse. Several months then passed to thoroughly dry out and then repair and redecorate the property. It’s a new build, we are cash buyers and when we first reserved it, we thought it should take about 12 weeks to complete. We eventually exchanged two weeks ago and then the unthinkable happened. 24 hours before completion, the developers phoned us to say their solicitor’s bank account had been locked so the completion funds could not be transferred to them to complete the sale. Thankfully, they are a very large company and quickly engaged another company of solicitors to work with Talbots to complete the transaction 24 hours later on the planned date. Ethan was on leave when all this was going on but Tori and the team were brilliant and pulled out all the stops to ensure we completed on time. I think this (thankfully) very rare situation was a first for them, too! They dealt superbly with the whole transaction. I’m so grateful to them and obviously highly recommend them.

Lola Ajayi is simply a brilliant solicitor. I had a truly frustrating experience with this firm. After being referred to them by my estate agent for a property sale, I reached out multiple times via email and phone — and for over two weeks, I heard absolutely nothing back. It honestly felt like my messages were being sent into the void — no acknowledgment, no updates, no courtesy reply. I even called the office, was told someone would get back to me, and still nothing. If you are too busy or unable to take on a case, the professional and respectful thing to do is to say so — not to leave people in complete silence during a time-sensitive legal process. This level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable and deeply unprofessional. I’ve now had to find another solicitor and lost valuable time in the process. I would not recommend this firm based on my experience.

Thank you Lauren! Lauren was amazing throughout the process of buying our first home. I had multiple questions as first time buyers we were clueless. Lauren never made me feel like I was bothering her in anyway no matter how many emails I sent her. She was always quick to reply and very friendly. We had problems after completion date due to the sellers and I explained to her the issues and she sorted out getting us compensation and was always more than happy to help. Currently 37 weeks pregnant and got the keys to our home last week and Lauren has made this process so much easier and stress free for me. Thank you Lauren!

I’ve recently used Talbots Law for a Personal Injury claim. I was supported by Hollie Hollie North Personal Injury Executive. The service I received was first class. I was informed from the start how my case would progress, the costs involved and offered any support I required. We see advertisement for a these large national companies, but may I suggest using a local well established company like Talbots. They are a local company who know the community they support. My case was concluded with a better outcome than I expected. I have no hesitation in recommending Talbot Law and should the need arise, will definitely use them again.
