At one time it was all convenient and stable, I liked the site, more than others, but recently there are problems with the servers, often simply stops everything, especially in the evening during peak hours. Also really strongly limited exchange and purchases between users, which made the exchange not convenient.

Nach Rückgabe von Spiel bei Steam Nach Rückgabe von Spiel (PayPal Bezahlt) weil dieses nicht der Angaben Endsprach (alles auf Eng.), wurde ich bei PayPal gesperrt ... Kein Kauf mehr bei Steam... bei Kauf -Rückgabe - wird man gesperrt. Armes support ...Danke Mitarbeiter.

Spiele kann ich kaufen, für egal welche Summe. Bestelle ich jedoch ein Steam Deck, ist plötzlich angeblich die angegebene Zahlungsmethode ungültig. Wenn die Bestellung dann doch durchgeht, wird sie nach ein paar Stunden ohne Angabe von Gründen storniert. Na gut, dann eben nicht. Die bestellten Spiele habe ich natürlich auch dann wieder storniert. Edit: ich habe es einfach nochmal probiert, und einige Games gekauft. Diese wurden auch sofort meiner Bibliothek hinzugefügt, die Summe von der Kreditkarte abgebucht. Als ich jedoch nochmal versucht habe, ein Steam Deck zu bestellen, mit derselben Kreditkarte (auch diese Summe wurde gleich abgebucht), wurde der Kauf nach 24 Stunden von Steam storniert, ebenso sämtliche Games. Das dreiste ist vor allem, dass mir nun "betrügerische Aktivitäten" unterstellt wurden und mein Steam Account stillgelegt wurde. Hätte ich mal früher die Bewertungen gelesen!!

Are 12 year olds running this? I have a fairly simple problem: prices in Steam are shown in a totally different currency than I want. I try to change it, as you can with so many other websites and apps. But not Steam! If you want to change the currency you need to make a purchase in the country of the currency you want to see. I am a digital nomad... I move all the time. And calculating prices of games all the time is just.... Weird. They (the 12 year olds) don't seem to think this is weird and I have to buy something in order to see a different currency. Sounds like if I go to another country and the person in the shop doesn't speak English, unless I purchase something. Than it's possible to speak English... Huh? Also, very hard to regain acces to an older account. Old games have been removed from my account. I didn't dare to ask about that, because I am afraid of making a purchase before I can see my old games again. I deleted my account... I think, because asking for deletion of my account needs approval from Steam.... What? These are my details, my accounts! Something with data protection and GDPR?

My account was hacked and the Steam support got it back in like 2 days. Way better than Riot haha

Wie bekommt man es hin, dass bei einem komplett abgeschlossenem Download (368MB) und eine genutzten Laufwerksgeschwindigkeit von über 500MB/s die Verifizierung 10 Minuten dauert? Drehen wir Extrarunden? Wixxen sich die Entwickler von Steam einen darauf, dass man den Usern die zeit raubt? Erklärt es mir, ich möchte es verstehen.

Bought Hello Kitty game for 6y old niece, game is all reading (no audio voices) and she tried for 4h to play the game. Steam wont refund because she tried it for 4h, the game costs 49€ and will never be played again Total scam

Dopo un tot di ore di gioco, GTA V non funziona più. La rockstar non riesce a risolvermi il problema ed io non riesco neanche ad avere il rimborso perchè per Steam ho superato il tempo di gioco. E' vergognoso. Penso che non comprerò più su Steam.

Support client manque de tact et ,n'est pas orienté satisfaction client, mais surtout n'est pas du tout facile d'accès: j'ai récemment tenté de renvoyer une demande d'assistance, je n'arrive plus à trouver le lien pour le faire (supprimé pour moi? possible...), les râleurs comme dirait M.Courtois seraient-ils censurés? En tout cas j'use de ma liberté de râler car pas un mouton comme certains...

Decent game hub, other than that they dont have alot standing for them, Can't really withdraw money, Servers can be buggy, etc.

I had a great experience with Steam Support. I purchased a Steam Deck but unfortunately received a faulty device. Thankfully, the support team handled my issue quickly and communicated with full transparency throughout the entire process. I received an RMA shortly after, and I’m very grateful for the smooth and positive experience.

I had a terrible experience with Steam after my account was compromised in October 2024 via a VNC connection while I was away from home. This resulted in a permanent ban from the network, locking me out of thousands of pounds worth of games I've purchased over the years. I used family sharing to switch between my two accounts – this banned one being my primary with my entire library. The ban not only affects network access, friends, and purchasing but also blocks family sharing and the marketplace. My options were limited: either play on the banned account with zero online features, or abandon my entire game library and start over on my alternate account. Frustrated, I contacted Steam support three times, but each ticket was closed without any investigation. They simply stated, "It's your account, so it's your responsibility to ensure security." I even reached out directly to Gabe Newell and several Valve executives via email, but received no response whatsoever. In the end, I've been forced to find alternative ways to access the games I legally own, as Steam has proven unreliable. Anyone claiming Steam provides great recovery support or truly cares about customers is likely exaggerating – I've seen no evidence of that in my case. Avoid putting significant money into Steam if you value account security and customer service.

I was more happy when we were able to use lıra then now $ to buy games. I won't stop using it, and wait for sales, just disappointed.

Moderation team of the forums have been taken over by cheat developers most of the moderation accounts have chinese or russian logins and protect troll accounts handing out bans if you call specific troll accounts trolls deapite them constantly breaking steams forum tos it is blatant and obvious this company does not deserve the regard people give it and they need to wake up and stop glazing gaben
