Square is not a company I would trust…

Square is not a company I would trust with handling business finances. They play with people’s money by freezing accounts, holding funds without warning, and offering little to no explanation when you try to get help. The customer service is vague and often just sends scripted responses. If you’re a small business that relies on regular cash flow, be very careful — Square can freeze your money for weeks under the label of “risk review” with no real recourse. You do everything right, and they still shut you down or delay your funds. This is unacceptable behavior for a financial services company. Businesses deserve transparency, reliability, and real support — not silence and stress.

Simple!

Setting up and using Square is incredibly simple! It has saved me so much time in keeping my inventory accurate so my customers always know what I have in stock.

By me being a new business owner I can say the Square team has help me out tremendously!!👍👍 especially dealing with refund issues from time to time so far they have made my customer’s happy and I looking forward to have a good reputation with my small business and also with my square account . One of the few tasks that did not require a lot of time or frustration to set up, implement, and use on a regular basis

From the ease of use in processing cards and payments, to setting up our products and discounts in the system, to the ability to run basic sales reports, this experience for the last year has been one the more rewarding and less time consuming tasks in starting a new business. In addition we are able to process payments on our website as well as multiple cell phones and tablets.

I used square for years, then nothing

I used square for years. My business slowed down dramatically. When I finally had another paying customer, I made and sent an invoice through Square. Again, I had been using them to accept cards for years. I started my business in 2015. They all of a sudden are asking for me to prove myself and submit an invoice which was generated by square. Now they have canceled my account. They also will not provide specificity. Are holding the money for 90 days and will not refund it to my customer. Square is absolute trash.

Fantastic Experience with Square!

Twice I have logged into Square to…

Twice I have logged into Square to refund my customer. Twice, Square has taken the refund for my customer and applied it to the loan that I have with Square. Square's documents say that when a customer makes a payment they will take a portion of the funds and apply it to the loan; I don't have a problem with this, I agreed to it when I signed loan paperwork. Where I have a problem is I refunded my customer. My loan payment was already made but Square kept that refunded money and I NEED TO REFUND MY CUSTOMER. This is completely WRONG of Square to do. How am I to refund my customer if Square continues to keep the funds??? I think it's time to move my business over to another payment service. I'll pay off my loan with Square because I legit owe them but I will find another card processor.

I have to brag on square and their…

I have to brag on square and their dispute department. I run a non profit theater and we have had two incidents where someone tried to say we charged their cars fraudulently to get their money back. Both situations the person ordered the tickets online themselves and received their tickets via email. Both times the person showed up to our theater and showed their tickets. The first time, it was paid through our website payout department. They gave the money to the card holder despite our evidence that the person actually came and saw the show. We then started using Square. When the second person made the false claim, I sent evidence and was worried the same thing would happen. But Square actually reviewed the evidence and saw they they were lying and decided in our favor! This is unusual as a very high percentage of chargeback claims automatically go to the card holder regardless of the evidence that they charged the card themselves and they got the product. It took a while... But it was worth the wait! I am so thankful that square protected me and my business against the false claim and I will stick with them!! Thank you Square!!
