Excellent service

We sold our house in thornaby through smith and friends and Lindsey and Claire couldn't have been more helpful. We pretty much left it all up to them and They made the whole experience very pleasant and easy for us. We can't fault their communication and attention to detail and work ethic. We would highly recommend them for future house sales

From going in they were helpful & friendly & made everything seem so easy. When the first sale fell through they got straight back on it & sold the property again the very next day.

Limited professional input

Friendly interactions throughout but only limited support and advice provided. At the viewing stage the staff member freely admitted she had no knowledge of the property and was attending on behalf of one of her colleagues. Offer stage support was fine. But later in the process, when I needed support to deal with an issue with the seller it felt that they were reluctant to get involved. I understand the seller is ultimately their client but all the same it was difficult to see what professional expertise they brought to the party. Disappointing.

Charlotte and Leah were fantastic

Charlotte and Leah were fantastic, they kept us up to date with all key aspects of the house sale, they also dealt with issues swiftly. They rang us regularly to see how things were progressing. Really positive experience and would 100% recommend them for anyone looking to sell their home with this team. Toni did and excellent job of the photos for the property and made sure that it sold its best features.

Very poor integration and management of property purchase from previous owner (Selling on behalf of company who re-possessed the property) Expectation on a sale of a property is professionalism which has lacked in this purchase , when viewing the property I found the property secure and in suitable condition to place a bid. I then privately paid for an independent survey to be completed on the property and when the surveyor attended the property the access was not provided to certain parts of the property (External Balcony). The property was completed on the principle that it was just the wrong set of keys that had been taken on the day of allowing the survey. Trust was then broken as when I was issued the keys on completion I found that there had been a maintenance activity performed on the locking mechanism (barrel changed) and the keys no longer worked in the lock. Meaning that the property was left unsecured on sale which is not acceptable. Furthermore , no keys were provided to access utility supplies which were isolated by the company of which Smith and friends were representing.

Went above and beyond

Went above and beyond. Craig Purkis' excellent advice on the best price to sell the property for a quick sale. Rachael, Catherine and all the sales team kept me informed every step of the way. Liaised with both my solicitor and the buyers. Many thanks to all the team at Smith & Friends. Gavin and Lynda
