polite helpful response that got to the heart of the issue swiftly and worked to resolve it.
As first time buyers, me and my partner was very anxious about the whole process, Our mortgage advisor found Skipton for us who approved our mortgage despite our circumstances changing. Skipton took us step by step and kept in constant communication and kept our anxious minds at ease. Not only that, but they also sent out a welcome pack to help with the move. We were also rewarded £500 back for completion. We are truly happy with the service.

Applied for ISA as new customer. Had to send certified copies for proof of ID. Sent them along with Skipton's own form printed out. The Skipton online ID form states a Local Government Officer is one of their approved certifiers. I got a local government officer from the local council (committee team manager) to sign, date and confirm the job they had. But Skipton sent email to say it would not approve this. They even sent the form and copies back so there is proof I correctly sent info. If they can't even follow their own procedures and policies then I won't be investing my money with them

Skipton are abysmal to deal with. No effort to complete tasks, different information given to me every phone call and goal posts continually moved further and further away. Really frustrating and poor service given, wasted so much time on phone calls to have to give the same information 10+ handlers. Calls dropped numerous times after me waiting on hold for half an hour. Really disappointed after being a customer here for 3 years since being a first time buyer.
Have not problems manageing my accounts on line and always get a rapid respone to any chat I instigate.
Everything went smoothly no issues with getting a mortgage….most high street banks were picky and causing a lot of issues with getting a mortgage but Skipton accepted us with close to no changes to our request. High recommend going with Skipton, specially for mortgages. They are very flexible, for example, allowing more than 2 people on mortgage.
Totally useless wanted to put money in a bond was told they couldn't do it that day despite there being 3 staff 2 just sitting doing nothing and no further customers in the shop after 2 left with the one who was serving.Walkef out and got a better deal go somewhere else.Staff are totally useless.
Fabulous, applied for a track record mortgage and got approved within a month. Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly and took the time to explain things that I didn’t understand as a first time buyer.

We recently purchased our first home and chose Skipton as our mortgage provider. We have been blown away by the customer service and how smooth the whole process is. The new home box we received was so very thoughtful and a great touch!
Issues with transferring in an ISA account from another provider. Funds are shown as ‘Pending’, Skipton confirm they have the funds but cannot deposit them. They blame the original investing Company and the investing Company blame the Skipton. The process commenced 17th June and still no joy. The advice I received from 1 advisor was different today, therefore have lost my confidence in the Skipton. I admit they are friendly and personable but don’t seem to know what they are doing. Sorry Skipton, but you are no where as good as you used to be.

An extremely quick response to my online enquiry, which was answered by a real person and not a robot. My query was dealt with promptly and politely and resolved very quickly taking the stress out of dealing with online banking.
