Hosts beware

Hosts beware. Do not list with this rental platform. The communication, follow through, and payment processes are horrible! It has been 2 weeks since we hosted a two-day rental and no one has responded to a single email that we have sent and we have had to involve the Better Business Bureau of the polarimo County California local licensing board. Do yourself a favor and read the Better Business Bureau and all reviews that aren't published by Red awning as they are biased. Unless you feel like being constantly managing right awning more than you would have managed your own platform or property. They are simply a high price listing service that expects to get cleaners through turno and maintenance through Thumbtack and will say they are a full service platform but they are no service platform. Please do your homework and believe the things you read

Lack of professionalism and knowledge

I had a very disappointing experience with RedAwning, specifically with a representative named Scott. He was not only unhelpful, but he also demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, he was dismissive throughout the call and ultimately hung up on me before I had even finished speaking. This behavior is completely unacceptable. It has caused me to lose all trust in RedAwning.

“This townhome was absolutely perfect for UofI graduation in May! The location was 2 blocks from commencement making it ideal for every type of event associated with the university. The accommodations included every detail possible - tastefully decorated.”

The unit is like staying at Motel 6. Generally clean but carpet was not clean smelled of smoking; inadequate pillows on the bed; the sheets did not fit the bed. very spartan and not worth the cost. Expected more like other units at St Anton

Fantastic Choice

Ski Watch Condo is a fantastic choice for a getaway! The condo is in excellent condition, offering a super comfortable and spacious environment. The location is ideal, making it easy to access nearby slopes and attractions. It was impeccably clean and well-equipped with all the necessary appliances. Overall, a perfect place for both relaxation and adventure! Highly recommend!

Astonishingly poor property manager

Astonishingly poor property manager. It's best to hire a local person if at all possible. Not only did they fail to notice when guests damaged my house and smoked in it, they did not supervise the cleaners. I reported poor cleaning, and so did guests, alas, but they never tried to fix the problem or respond meaningfully to my questions. Also, slow payments and mystery charges. So bad! Run! On the bright side, they let me end the contract early, so I appreciate that. And their chatbots are very polite.

Shag S***hole

The rental company was fantastic. Their communication was great and the staff was friendly. The property was terrible. To say it was dated, tired, smelly and way overpriced for the value is an understatement. Whoever owns the property should invest some money and make it a cozy little place it could be, and it does not take much. For example, the carpet was the worst. It smelled of carpet cleaner, mold, and smoke. Smoke? Yes the carpet in the place seems like it's at least 40 years old and carries the smell of 40 year old shag carpet. The only updated investment outside of some ikea furniture (nothing wrong with ikea furniture) was the sink and that seemed like a scratch and dent special from home depot. The issue here is that for something like only a few times what I paid for 2 nights someone could have done a cost effective update to make the place worth it. If I was to put a dollar amount on the place, I would not pay more than $80 a night in high season in it's current state. Also the $190 cleaning fee is a joke. I get it's expensive to hire and clean in the mountains, but its like you paid someone $20 a minute to clean the place it's that small. Cut that in half and maybe that's a realistic fee. Finally whoever owns that place should sell it to someone who cares and can invest in the property, the location is good and the property management company is nice but the current condition is unacceptable.

Booking cancellation after confirmation from team

My recent booking was cancelled over Christmas, after I spoke to the team via online chat on the 23rd of December and confirmed all the details for the reservation. Furtermore, when I emailed the team back regarding the cancellation, I didn't hear back, which shows an unparalleled lack of professionalism. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, it is unacceptable that the reservation was confirmed and subsequently cancelled without any notification. This cancellation, particularly during the holiday season, left me in a precarious position with no alternate accommodation secured for the desired dates. I do not recommend them, nor will I book with them again.

Currently renting and trying to cancel…

Currently renting and trying to cancel due to broken locks and many issues at the property, including mold at base of sliding doors. All I get is automated responses and responses from other time zone saying they’re working on it. I would highly recommend to avoid any property associated with red awning.
