Impossible to get hold of someone that knows what they're talking about

UK call center yes, but every call reaches 'reception' who have no visibility to your account, nor any technical or customer services capability. They promise to call back, never do. They promise to reply to emails, takes days. Router came misconfigured and locked so even when I connected to it via ethernet I was unable to manually setup the PPPoE settings. Waste of time, avoid. EDIT: I have shared my details with you, feel free to call and I'd gladly give my direct feedback as I've been trying to do for the last few days.

Connection mostly good and staff helpful

Line did go down for a few days and they did everything they could to help asap, Kevin was very helpful and we got credit back for the next month due to the inconvenience.

Patient and effective

Rebel persevered through a long, arduous process getting Openreach to install FTTP. Openreach would not allow me to initiate contact to arrange an appointment which is mind-numbingly short-sighted and unhelpful being a teacher that cannot take calls during the day. I can't imagine the mess I would be in with the undeserving, greedy broadband companies like Virgin Media, EE, Vodafone, BT, and their labyrinthian, unfair contract terms and predatory 'customer service'.

Superior Customer service

Great product with no issues . The only broadband service that offers a monthly rolling contract. Call answers quickly, unlike the big boys . Excellent Customer service . I highly recommend them

The dodgy company I hooked up.

To good to be truth. As it isn't! I’m disappointed with Rebel Internet's **24/7 customer support** claim. While the connection might be reliable, the support team has been unhelpful when I needed assistance. I’ve called twice and both times, the representatives couldn’t provide any answers or specifics. Instead, they passed my details to tech support, with no clarity on when I would hear back—not even a rough estimate of the day or time. It seems dodgy, as if they don’t actually offer true **24/7 support**, but rather play games with vague promises to customers. This lack of transparency and responsiveness has left me unable to plan my time or get the rest I need, and it feels misleading compared to their advertised "always people, no bots" promise. Additionally, I discovered that you **cannot set up Rebel Internet without using the “HomePass” app**, which wasn’t clearly mentioned upfront. You are forced to create another account with “Plume,” which works only on Android or iPhone. Essentially, you **must have a smartphone** to get online. Even when you log into the router, everything is **locked, blocked, and tightly restricted**, leaving no freedom for personal configuration. It seems as though they’re **monitoring, analysing, and controlling data**—and also **using it for marketing purposes**. On top of that, they **charge you upfront**, a **week or two before they even send the router** or the official internet start date. This kind of practice feels unfair, as customers are paying for a service they haven’t even received yet. --- Called 3rd time to ask about cancellation, and they could not provide any info about that either. Neither tech support nor whoever can answer my questions will work tomorrow over the bank holiday. Looks like these new "We will take care of you" companies are appearing every 2-3 years and working with "Plume". Not sure if they all are still ON the market as IP. Less than 500 reviews yet mostly positive YET.

Super service

Using Rebel internet has been a pleasure. The service providers resolve whatever issues you have in a timely manner, and they are always friendly. The internet itself usually gives us little to no problems, and it is fast!

Best choice you could make for…

Best choice you could make for internet. Prices are fair. Support have been fantastic, dispatching an Openreach engineer in two days which tripled my internet speed as there was a fault on the line (previous provider sent an engineer but he evidentally ignored that). They have a good attitude to people that like to tinker with internet, you can request a static IP for on a few pounds a month, they provide pppoe credentials in the account portal without you needing to contact support (and they don't complain about it), even if you don't do this, the provided router is decent hardware as opposed to cheapest unit a provider could buy. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Good value

Always answer queries. Helpful, polite and the only reasonably priced no-contract service I could find.

Great experience with the support team…

Great experience with the support team getting us set up, really responsive and attentive. Had an issue with the line on activation day and they got an OpenReach engineer out within a couple of days and checked in with us afterwards to make sure everything was working ok. App for the router is easy to use and plenty of options, pleasantly surprised.

Shaky start but now doing well

I’ve had the internet for two months. It was set up a few days late and I’ve had one outage so I can’t give it a 5/5 but other than that it’s been good.

Okay network service, fantastic customer care team.

My network service is very poor. When I am on a WhatsApp video call, I keep getting low connectivity warnings. When I switch to my mobile data, it becomes stable. It is also embarrassing when I am on MS Teams call for office meetings when my video keeps freezing and colleagues telling me to repeat myself because my voice trailed off. I work mostly from home and I need a very stable and fast network. I signed up to Rebel believing that I will get a better experience than my previous provider but this has proved worse. I am beginning to regret this decision. Edit: 05 May 2025 The customer care team reached out to me via email after my review and attributed the issues to Ad Blocking being enabled. They disabled it and it did help a bit. A week after, things went bad again. I faced streaming difficulties on platforms such as YouTube and Netflix. Frequent buffering and delays when loading videos, blurry video quality, even at lower resolutions. They responded promptly and the issue this time? My devices were connecting to their 2.4 GHz radio instead of the 5 GHz radio. By rebooting my router remotely, they forced my devices to connect to the 5 GHz radio. After about two weeks, I am facing same issues. The problem is that the router does not present the two wavelength option for you to choose which one to connect to like some other providers do. It has not been a good experience for me so far. I only added one star due to the efforts of the customer support team who are very responsive. But the network service needs to urgently improve. Edit: 10 June 2025 I have now raised my ratings to four stars majorly because of how responsive the customer care team has been, especially David. They have been checking in on me to see how my network is performing. To date, they are the best service team I have ever interacted with. And my network has been okay and stable. Not as fast as I want but stable.
