My experience with Pure Dog Food has been extremely disappointing and feels outright anti-consumer. I ordered their “custom” trial box, only to find the only thing customised was my dog’s name printed on the packaging – the recipes themselves are generic and the options limited. Worse yet, their so-called “risk-free” money-back guarantee is misleading. I followed every step described on their website: transitioned my dog gradually, tried both recipe flavours and contacted customer support via their SMS check in. Still, my refund was refused – simply because I cancelled my subscription to prevent further unwanted deliveries. Nowhere in their terms does it state you must keep your subscription active to qualify for a refund. Not only did my dog dislike the food (which had an off-putting, chemical odour), but their guarantee is essentially meaningless. I feel scammed by a company that hides behind fine print and offers little in genuine customisation or care. This entire experience has been frustrating and I would strongly advise anyone considering Pure Dog Food to beware their misleading promises and anti-consumer policies.

Not good! For the second time the food was delivered early despite changing the delivery date in good time. We were away for the weekend. We have an issue with fox getting into packages if left out. Not only was the delivery early, it was left on the front step near a busy main road. When I first raised the issue, Pure Pet completely deflected saying it was the couriers fault! No!! You instruct them. If they don’t comply with your policies, ensure your contract with them has adequate sanction to make them correct the error and pay compensation. Take responsibility Pure Pet - you owe it to your customers!
I have had to speak to pure for advice about my dog & her excessive biting of her paws, they were extremely helpful & suggested a change in food (also sending a free sample) and suggesting salmon oil. It has done the trick & she is back to normal.
Lola loves the food, particularly when mixed with hot water. She used to get diarrhoea frequently on her old food, now she doesn’t have it at all. The only issues we have had are with late delivery, but customer services swapped our courier and now that’s fine.
Hi, From I’ve started getting pure for Baxter and Shola, they have taken to the change over very well. They are eager for each meal, and their bowl are empty each time. Their stools are formed and consistent, and certainly smell less gross lol.
I have spoken to different staff for advice and they were friendly, patient and so helpful. Deliveries arrive when expected and my puppy enjoys every mea. Clean bowl and a happy healthy puppy.
I've never seen my dog clean his bowl so we'll as I have since changing to Pure . It's easy to follow the guidelines for transitioning and easy to prepare the food . 10/10 as he's also on a diet and his weight is more like it should be now . No waste at all .
First class experience, the food is excellent, I had my dog on meds for skin condition, I even managed to to take him off them as food he is not intolerant to food.
I have left it a couple weeks to review. I needed to try something else after constant smells and sloppy poos. I guess I went with Pure because they are a Yorkshire company, and being from Yorkshire, it just seemed right. The difference in Baloo, my Rottweiler, is amazing. His poos are solid again and much smaller, he doesn't smell, his coat is shining, and most of all, he appears to have calmed down considerably. We will be continuing with Pure for sure.
Our spaniel LOVES this food, so much so that this darling lad has started eating his own poo. Not the desired outcome but on the plus side, he is a healthier weight, calmer and much happier in general.
Our four year old Rottweiler, Willow, was always fussy with her food until we started with Pure Pet Food in January 2025. Willow absolutely adored the food, and became excited for every meal - which was so lovely to see. Unfortunately, Willow unexpectedly passed away in June, two days after we'd received our latest food delivery. We called Pure Pet Food to advise them of this, and spoke to a lovely lady named Nicole who immediately cancelled our plan and refunded our last payment without us even asking. Losing a pet so unexpectedly is extremely hard, but it really helps when you're dealing with people like Nicole, who genuinely cared. We couldn't recommend Pure Pet Food enough, as the product and the people are really of the highest standard.
I feel the food is exactly what cherry needs for her sensitive tummy, I do also use some dry food to keep her teeth clean but she now eats it all up and is excited for her food time, thank you Pure
I was very dubious when I first ordered Pure for my 3 years old miniature poodle/pug. He is extremely fussy and we have tried so many different foods for him. Raw, precooked frozen, tray meat, kibble, so one more try was not much different and I wasn’t hold out hope. And initially he wouldn’t eat it!! I tried the rolling it into balls and adding a little of what he would eat, which was something that wasn’t of any quality and I didn’t want him eating it really. Pure was brilliant and kindly sent me out a different flavour to try. Two months on we have tried 5 or the 7 flavours and he is actually waiting for me to prepare his meals now and eating the straight up. I’m thrilled to say the least. The only thing I would say is sometimes he still seems hungry, I must reweigh him to make sure he’s getting enough. I do sprinkle a little freeze dried chicken on the balls and yesterday he had only a quarter of a teaspoon of the old food on top, so that will soon stop and we will be Pure all the way. We have had the treats too and both my dogs love those. The squeaky balls 🎾 is fab too. Thanks Pure for making my life so much easier, less worry and happy dog 😍
Pepsi-max has a easily upset stomach, we did a bit of research and started on pure. He wolfed it down and still does to today. We also had to amend the amount he was having as he was losing weight, but we now have him on the right amount for a happy, healthy energetic boy! (With the help of the staff from pure) He has been on pure a year now with quick easy delivery, the ability to change flavours and add extras with no hastle.
We got both of our fur babies on the same day and they have never been apart but being two different breeds they have different habits. Bruce the beagle eats everything at light speed but Mabel the cocker spaniel is a fussy little princess. We chose to move to pure pet because we wanted something that Mabel would enjoy just as much as Brucey and would keep them healthy and happy for as long as absolutely possible. From the moment we got pure pet food Mabel eats so well. Both of them adore the flavours, especially salmon, and we don’t have to worry about Brucey trying to eat his sisters food because it’s usually gone before he has the chance to try. I have had cocker spaniels all my life and I have never known a food that they seemed to enjoy as much as our Mabey baby does. From an owner point of view the website is fab, easy to organise delivery and the team are lovely. Won’t be moving away from pure pet in a hurry!
