Poor VPN but even worse customer service

If you long to be left alone and ignored then this is the company for you. When I was enquiring about joining the service, the customer representatives response time was just seconds. When I asked to cancel on day four of a thirty day trial period there has still been no response at all, it would appear that once they have your money you no longer matter.

If Plug-n-Play was a VPN

Probably the easiest 'plug-n-play' experience I've had with VPNs. For competitive, fair pricing that allows me to actually play some games without disconnecting, the last two years using PIA's been a breeze. Recently had a billing question and contacted support, which both automated and personal was quick, easy and solved my issue in less than 2 minutes. Incredibly light weight, non-invasive and I've happily referred this VPN to numerous co-workers and clients I do PC builds for.

I live in a country with heavy Internet…

I live in a country with heavy Internet restrictions. I used to have NordVPN which had its own side problems (my phone and PC couldn't connect on the same LAN via Phone Link, there was no option for excluding IPs, you need another vpn to be able to install it on PC for the first time ). then I bought Surfshark and PIA VPN simultaneously. I would rate The PIA vpn the best of the 3 because It's lightwight and very quick to load and connect and has a lot of customization which can be used to circumvent the heavy censorship. All the 3 protocols work in PIA while in Surfshark only Openvpn TCP works. Surfshark has recently improved its VPN performance in versions 5.13 and 5.14 and has "Alternative ID" which PIA doesn't have. All in all PIA is more customizable while Surfshark has more extra features. In the end I think I'll stick to PIA. I forgot to tell that PIA is relatively cheaper.

Works as intended

Works as intended, connection is good and experience is pretty seamless without getting too much in the way. I will only point out that many services have flagged the servers used by them and may reject or slow your connection.

PIA VPN: netwerkbeveiliging en antivirus.

PIA VPN is zeker een aanrader. Betrouwbare VPN. Zeer goede gebruikservaring met handige instellingen. Vroeger gebruikte ik Express VPN maar zou PIA VPN niet meer willen inruilen.

Good customer service and location changer for streaming

Good customer service, very helpful and quick to reply via email. Vpn works really well to change country location and search for 'streaming optimised' locations if it doesn't work. I also restarted my computer and that made a difference. Customer service was very helpful and gave me the steps above along with others if it didn't work. Prompt replies too. Also, the cheapest VPN I could find for Australia and it's in AUD too. Easy to navigate.
