UOP has been great.

This academic journey has been great so far. I love the weekly class schedule as it works well with my home, church and professional life. My professor have been excellent, great with feedback and help, truly have made this a confident ride. I’m entering my seventh class with more confidence than day one. Really enjoying this journey.

Thank you for making this experience…

Thank you for making this experience possible for a young mother and wife juggling two full-time jobs. The flexibility this program offered truly made all the difference — it allowed me to keep up with my responsibilities at home and at work while still pursuing my education. I would absolutely recommend this program to others. The coursework was clear and manageable, and the faculty were always accessible and supportive when I needed them.

“Aligned and Growing: My Learning Journey ”What’s making my experience great is…

What’s making my experience great is feeling supported while still having the freedom to find my own path. The university meets me where I am and provides the resources I need, making learning feel more like a journey than a chore. What the university is doing well is creating a flow that works with the student experience. Communication is clear, tools are easy to use, and there’s a real sense of connection—even online. It makes learning not just productive, but meaningful.

Feeling of Happiness.

I am very happy in my heart because I was able to complete the first step of my university studies, and I obtained an AA Degree. When I gave birth to my third baby, that was when I stayed home from school to take care of my baby. From that time, I hesitated to continue my education. I thought by that time when I have many kids that school is enough. Some of my friends at work shared with me about the university. I kept observing the joy of my friends in the classes they were taking at the University of Phoenix. I started thinking that it would be a good opportunity to complete classes for an AA Degree. I immediately worked on registering and began the classes. There were times I felt weak when coming home from work. But I forced myself because I thought I needed to finish my classes. My birthday is in August, and it was the best gift for my birthday because in the month of August I completed my classes and received my AA Degree in Business.

Misinformation ruined my trust in the schools information…

I had a wonderful time at University of Phoenix but what happened this day really kind of ruined it for me. So I was in talks with the education advisor about possibly putting my masters on hold before it started, I was told that’s fine and what they can do is put in the request to refund the money I paid out of pocket for the Graduates Portfolio which was $150 through the Student Cart Support and I received an email stating they will send it in immediately and it can take up to 14 business days. At this time I was told it was refundable since the class didn’t start yet so it should be refunded. To be honest I didn’t care about the money but it was still the point. So I waited through those 14 business days and nothing, no information, no email, no communication so I decided to send them another email asking for an update (The Student Cart Support) and I receive an email stating they don’t do that and unfortunately they don’t put in refunds. So this confused me as I waited 14 days just to be told it was for nothing. So I contacted the financial department after waiting I finally got a hold of somebody and I told them the situation they looked into it and come to find out the school already used the funds and it was not refundable even though I was told multiple times that it was refundable. See at this point I decided that because of this misinformation and basically wasting my time I was not going to do the Masters Program and wanted my application completely canceled. This situation has hindered my trust in the schools information and communication unfortunately.

The academic portion of my schooling…

The academic portion of my schooling experience is ok so far. The financial part of my funding is not so good. I have to keep calling to remind them to release my scholarship after 14 days and also the University is trying to keep my scholarship for future classes and I am already covered by FASFA and my student loans. I have changed my loan acceptance a few times just to receive the money from my scholarships. I understand my loans and scholarships and know the price I will pay when my schooling is over with. I am an adult and make my own decisions regarding loans.
