horrible experiece. I took class nov. 18th and as of 12/17 no certificate was mailed. It took me hours to find number to call. I tried to login and it said no email found. I had to go to my bank to find out what company charged my account. It was the one that said no email found. when I called they made me give a phone number, DOB, and they did have my email. They said it failed to print mine because of missing DOB. They had me verify security a dozen times during 6 hour class, yet they FAILED TO MAIL MY CERTIFICATE by the time needed to submit to court. (30 days from day of class).I do not recommend!

So many misleading claims and add ons to try to get extra money from you

If i could give this course zero stars I would. This is account should be illegal. Once you sign up for the course you are prompted for so many different ad ons that are not advertised up front. All of the videos in the course are PURPOSELY sped up and you are UNABLE to change the speed. In order to hear them at normal speed YOU HAVE TO BUY THE AUDIO!! Do not enroll in this course. There are far better courses out here than this one!

Extremely deceptive business model. They get you in with the $25 offer and the claim that it’s the lowest price allowed by the state of Texas. Once they’ve charged you the $25, they tell you it’s another $40 to email your certificate and add more fees to notify the state of completion. After everything they had charged me $76.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using the onlinetxdefensivedrivingcourse.com. Initially, it seems like a great deal – they advertise the course for $25, and you think that covers everything. However, after you pay the $25 course fee, they hit you with more charges. After buying the course, they ask you to pay an additional $40 just to email your course completion certificate. This is absurd. Emailing a certificate should be free, but they charge you extra, taking advantage of those who need their certificate quickly. It feels like a scam designed to make you pay more after you’ve already committed. In addition, they charge $20 for a 3A Driving Record, which can be purchased directly from the state for $12 at Texas DPS. It’s just another unnecessary and inflated charge. Even if you choose not to pay the $40, they take their time delivering the certificate via USPS. I waited 10 days to receive mine, and if you’re in a hurry, they’ll charge even more for expedited delivery. Suggestions: If you’re in a rush, avoid this course and choose another provider. If you do buy this course, only pay for the course itself and be prepared to wait for your certificate. Don’t get caught up in their extra fees. GENERAL SUGGESTION: Do not buy this course. The hidden fees and slow service make it a frustrating experience.

Their price is just a lie. They charge you not only for the course but for the certificate, for the delivery, for the audio version... for everything! They dont let you do the course at your speed (you need to wait a certain amount of time to go to the next session). Hopefully i dont have to do this again, but if i do it wont be with this horrible company.

I had decided to pick this website out of the 3 I was provided, which unbeknownst to me was the worst decision I had ever made. After paying $28, I was punched in the face with a $40 addon to get my certificate emailed to me. This was a payment-by-payment process, where after I already paid $28 they threw more payments at me, making the payment for each addon separate. This was clearly done on purpose to pressure you into using their website, hiding the extra addons behind the first payment. The free option of course was to send it to you by mail, but they add on by saying 7-30 days and that the current state of the postal service could take even longer than 30 days. Clearly another way to pressure you into paying $40 for the email service. Having no shopping cart page with the addons you want is a HUGE red flag and I will keep this in mind from now on. Then they have the audacity to ask for a tip at the end, after slapping you in the face with the ludicrous addons. And after all this nonsense, the youtube channel for the video quizzes you have to do is named "Lowest Price Traffic School", along with the website URL when you login and their motto being "Stop searching. Start saving. Why pay more?". The audacity. I feel as if I am being taunted. I will tell all my friends to STEER CLEAR OF THIS WEBSITE if they are ever in need of a defensive driving course. I also just realized this website never mentions anywhere the cost of the delivery options in English. They only mention what kind of delivery options are available. The only way to see the cost of the delivery options beforehand is if you go onto the spanish site. This is also the only place to access a shopping cart. Their prices clearly provide a fake discount, saying everything is discounted when clearly a $40 email delivery option is ludicrously overpriced.

They use deceptive tactics to get money out of you 1. $25 for course- pay $20 extra to get driving record, 2. Once you pay the above fee, they will ask for additional $9 & $39 for emailing you the driving record & certificate. At this time, they have already deducted $45 from you. So you can see what methods they use to scam you, 3. They email you the course completion certificate within an hour of completing it, but will not emailing you the driving record- you call them & they will say that pay extra for expedited service or wait 1 to 2 days. 4. you can get your driving record instantly at DPS website by paying $12. 5. It seems there are other courses who mentions about all charges upfront & are much cheaper. Imagine paying $40 for email delivery of your certificate.

Absolutely aweful. Website is deceptive. Upcharges for a certificate. Even navigating to complete the course I got charged for a driving record I didnt need and rejected multiple times. Absolutely aweful. And to top it off they prompted for a tip. Stay away from this one go to aceable.

This company website is deceptive. After you pay for the course will you find out you can get the e-certificate for an additional charge. I have requested a refund. I wish I would have read these reviews beforehand. I am going to add a review on Yelp as well. Terrible,

website registration is a joke and it is not even funny. son tried registering for a class. entered all his info and included his credit card info and hit submit and then nothing happened. Unfortunately he hit the submit button a couple of times, so it has charged his card numerous times and he has nothing to show for. He has called and emailed numerous times and no response, so at this point it appears they are scam artists. I would say stay away. 1 star is very generous! And their statement on their website about "we got you back" I seriously question that, more like sneaking behind your back.

They charge fee to retake the exam. They ask you to give them a tip throughout the course. Once you receive the certificate, it wont open and it password protected. Complete scam. Stay away.

They charge you for the course, then when you complete the course they charge you again to get the certificate. Now I’m receiving $9.95 charges every month and they will not stop.

These guys charge $29.95 for email delivery.

These guys make it VERY difficult. I've never had a course that actually made it hard. They nickel and dime you throughout and I believe WANT you to fail so they can get more money from you. DECLINE the Email of your certificate. They want to charge 24.95. They asked 5 times and finally said, "Check box that you'd refer a friend and get it free". These guys are scammers!

They charge $29 to email the certificate of completion, which is more than the course cost, this should give you an indication of the type of company they are! I requested a refund and went with comedy defensive driving which charges $5, and it was a great and humorous course!
