The course was very helpful, easy to understand and the exam was comprehensive and easy to complete.

***DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** ***THEY RIP YOU OFF BY INSERTING HIDDEN ADD-ONS, WHICH YOU DON'T NEED*** I (my family) have used onlinetxdefensivedrivingcourse.com for about the 10 years for the SOLE purpose of receiving an insurance discount. The on-line class is easy to navigate through and complete. My wife signed up for the class on January 10, 2026, and paid $28. My wife completed the class on January 25, 2026. On February 3, 2026, a $9.95 charge to our credit card was applied by the company for some kind of "subscription" service from the company. Unbeknownst to my wife, she had no idea she signed up for this needless service from the company. Initially, when one signs up for the class, they are driven through multiple attempts to get you to sign-up for additional items that you don't need. One example is the expedited mail service. They try to convince you that it can take up to 30 days to get your certificate mailed to your house. I/we, will never use this on-line company again. They are a rip-off. I filled out the on-line form requesting that our $9.95 be reversed. Never heard back from them. My wife called the company and they simply removed us from the monthly subscription service. I do not recommend this company. They use deceptive business practices and I plan on contacting multiple agencies, including the FTC, do complain. Believe the bad reviews. You'll end up paying way more than $28 because they keep using scare tactics to make you think you need this or that just to get them to send the paperwork you need to prove you have taken the course. They prey on the fact that you need this proof to keep from getting arrested. For example, the course is $28. However, they charged $49.95 to email me a copy of my certificate. $49.95! They say if you don't do that, it will simply mail to you and they note "the Post Office WILL lose your certificate" and then the court will issue a warrant for your arrest because you can't prove you took the course. What they do should be illegal, and the course content is very old and outdated.

I have reached out to them several times and no response. You can't call and it was much more expensive than advertised. I didn't get my driving record and will have to spend additional money for that because it is required. This has been a horrible experience.

Zero stars. Advertises fast easy email of completion certificate. Then charges $50.00 to send the email. This is after paying the fee for the course. RUN don't walk to a different company. Bait and switch uncool not to mention false advertising. Then, when you try to check out the EXTRA $50, about 5 or 6 popuos come up trying to charge you more money for ridiculous things. If you aren't paying attention, they will snipe you. Awful.

If I could give ZERO stars I would! Very unprofessional! Constantly seeing prompts to pay more for each and every service that should've been included in the course. I took Comedy Driving once and it was great! This one I could barely get out at the end with just having my certificate mailed because it took me through multiple channels asking for ridiculous amounts of money for emailing my certificate or faster mail delivery. I will NEVER use this class again for online defensive driving school! Worst EVER!!! Says mail delivery should take 11-30 days! WHAT?!?!?! I don't think so I worked for the post office! They just want more money! Crooks!!!

Couple of pro tips.... 1) Make sure you get at least a 70% on your first test...retakes cost $25 2)make sure you give yourself plenty of time to complete course..email certificates are $50..mail is free. 3) make sure you fill in the correct court....or changing cert will cost you a fee. Overall pretty good course, but they try and nickel and dime you everywhere.

I signed up and took the class. All good at that point. $ 25.00 charge. I did not receive my certificate in mail and sent an inquiry for someone to check on it and they went me back an email and I was changed $ 49.00 I also have been getting a $ 9.95 monthly membership fee. Sort of a scam organization. Try someone else, but be careful.

WORST EVER ! ; Initial cost advertised is $25....they tell you in the beginning 5-7 days to get your completion certificate , but after completion that changes to 11-30 days....delivery options are $50 for a emailed one or $52 & up for overnight envelope. They have the gall afterwards to ASK FOR A TIP !!!! Horrible company.

Yes its $25 for the course but an additional $50 if you need the certificate in a timely manner. $0 if sent in mail and aren't on a time crunch. Had wrong security question so it suspended my account. Asks for random checks and if not answered in 90 seconds andn 3x it will suspend you account. Tried calling and kept telling me it was not within business hours, it was Monday at 9am, 12 pm and 2 pm. Finally got someone on then sales department to help me....of course the sales department was working but not the customer service. Just use another website!

Terrible site – likely a scam. They should be reported so their license can be revoked. After completing the course, they intentionally do not send the certificate. I’ve called multiple times asking for it, and they just keep delaying. Eventually, they send an email without the certificate and then demand $45 to issue it. Complete money grab. Stay away.

Just like everyone says. They will rip you off for another $50 just to email the certificate.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Like everyone else said, it’s definitely a money hungry website!!! Avoid at all costs, there are way more affordable websites people can utilize to receive the same certificate. Paid $25 for the course, and at the end I had to pay an extra $49 just to receive it on time.

This online defensive driving school is a SCAM. STAY AWAY. The course itself is outdated. There are so many MONEY GRABBING schemes in this website. They secretly add you to a subscription for Safedrive monthly ed. They intentionally did not mention shipping fees for certificates, email fees for certificates. After you finish the course, you have to pay money to have the certificate delivered to you, the alternative is to wait for a 15 DAY DELIVERY through mail.

Total scam, charging $50 for email a pdf file? Seriously!?

Complete scam. Bait and switch. You pay for the course at advertised price, and then they extort more money out of you to get your documents.

In order to receive the certificate of completion one needs to choose between like 2 or 3 different options for mailing charges that are over $50.00 or the free one that has no tracking and no way of knowing whether it was sent or not. this is really ridiculous. You sign up for a cheap course and then they will get you with the delivery of the certificate. Crooks!

Went in expecting to pay $45 for the drivers safety course and my driving record, the final charge was over $100. It added redundant charges to what was already there and doesnt show you what all you are paying for before it just charges your card automatically.

I had a disappointing experience with this website. They only list the course prices and do not include shipping costs, which is misleading. At the very least, they should mention that additional shipping charges will apply. When I called customer service, the representative, Jessy, was unhelpful. She was unsure about how long it actually takes to process my driving record, she didn't know if it was 72 continuous hours or 72 business hours. To top it off, she told me that it didn't matter how long it would take because my court date wasn't soon, so I just had to wait. I definitely regret using their website and will not recommend it to anyone.
