Outstanding Service and Commitment
In June I was arrested on suspicion of GBH (s.20) against a police officer. Completely out of character and a terrible offence.
I sought legal advice from a firm local to me which just didn’t grasp the gravity of the situation. After calling, researching and speaking with multiple legal professionals and solicitors. I spoke with Joseph from Mary Monson. He spent over an hour on the phone with me understanding more about the case, the mitigating circumstances and talking to me about potential options I may have. This was before I had instructed Mary Monson to represent me and before I had paid any money to them.
The level of depth Joseph went into was great and he also put me at ease explaining how Mary Monson worked and what the next steps were.
After deciding to instruct Mary Monson I was introduced to Graham who, throughout the 6 months prior to court, was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the company. He helped prepare me, helped find appropriate counsel and came up with a plan of how we were going to look at this case.
I was 100% sure I would receive a prison sentence and was hoping for damage limitation. Graham reminded me that suspended sentences were a possibility and his attention to detail was immense.
Graham was approachable, easy to talk to and excellent at his job.
The main issue I found, like most people in my position, when speaking with legal professionals over the 6 months was the way you get spoken too, talked down too and patronised. Almost like you aren’t good enough to be having the conversation with that person. Not for one minute when dealing with anyone representing this firm did I feel uncomfortable, unsure or patronised. That is the biggest compliment I can give to Mary Monson, no matter what you’re facing I imagine Graham and the rest of the team to treat you with the upmost respect and provide an outstanding service for their clients.
In the end, I miraculously received a suspended sentence, to which I know Graham and the team were over the moon with.
Cannot recommend this solicitors for anyone in my position enough. Hoping never to have to use them again, but if it came too it, I wouldn’t think twice about doing so.
