The booking process was straightforward, and we experienced great customer support. No problem in starting/ending the rental.

Amazing staff, and overall great car. Two downsides: * the gas takes quite a while to heat up water (and does not work in somewhat windy conditions. However not a big problem as you can do this in most camping sites with protection from wind) * no replay on emails, and often long waiting times on calls.

Everything went smoothly.

Picking up the car out of hours and returning it very easy. Very kind staff. Car in good condition with 15000 km. Choose the total coverage that allows you to travel carefree despite the gravel and the parking neighbors not always attentive to the opening of the doors. I really think that for our next winter trip we will choose Lava Car again!

Ho noleggiato con la mia ragazza un minivan camperizzato (nuovo Renault Kangoo) per 11 giorni. Penso sia stata un’ottima scelta perché tra i vari minivan delle stesse dimensioni che ho visto in Islanda quelli di Lava Car mi sono sembrati i migliori come allestimento rispetto quelli di altre agenzie di noleggio anche in rapporto ai costi. È risultato comodo sia da guidare, sia per dormire (considerando che sono alto 190 cm avevo paura fosse troppo stretto). Ottimo il servizio di pick up e drop off anche fuori orario di apertura se si è acquistata l’assicurazione completa.

Car pickup and return, including minibus transfer to and from the terminal, all went smoothly. Five stars for Lava’s response when we picked up a slow puncture, they responded quickly to my email and recommended a local garage in Akureyri. I gave them the receipt for the tyre repair on returning the car, which they deducted from my bill without quibbling.

Muy buena explicación en español, por el personal que habla español en la oficina, unas chicas muy amables, simpáticas y atentas, que explicaron perfectamente todos los detalles a tener en cuenta e información adicional. El coche bien y la conducción también. Mientras esperas en la oficina puedes tomar café gratis. Lo único malo es que, al no estar la oficina en el aeropuerto, se pierde bastante tiempo en la recogida y devolución, pero ya sabía que se recogía fuera del aeropuerto con transporte de cortesía.

Very satisfied with the service and our vehicle. Wait times at the office for pick-up / drop-off could be improved, but in my experience within the range of typical for the sector. Pick-up and drop-back from airport to the rental car office was efficient and prompt. Car in great condition and no problems with it. No hassles on return. Would strongly recommend this company.

Pickup from the airport was fast and easy. I was impressed with how quickly the process was from airport to van. The agent walked me through the van and explained everything thoroughly and I was on my way. It was a great start to my tour of Iceland. The van itself was clean and worked great. I appreciated the addition of extras like dishes and tables that other companies charged for.

Bonne expérience en général. Quelques améliorations possibles: - pouvoir trouver plus facilement le chemin pour le lieu de rendez-vous avec la navette qui amène au bureau de Lava Car. - instructions plus détaillées à la remise des clés, demander par exemple si le client veut une présentation du véhicule. - Avoir un rappel par WhatsApp du délai de retour du véhicule (puisque vous facturez une journée de location pour 1 heure de dépassement) - Personnel un peu plus souriant (mais peut-être est-ce dû à la charge et aux conditions de travail ?) - Proposer, au retour, une navette pour les clients qui restent la dernière nuit à Keflavik ville. Sinon, de manière générale, bon véhicule (Dacia Duster nouvelle génération), très propre, conforme aux attentes. Siège enfant conforme aux attentes et sécurisant

Overall it was a great rental experience. Just outside the airport, after only five minutes of waiting the shuttle arrived to take us to the company office. The staff was clear, the delivery of the car was on time. We had no problems during the rental. I would definitely recommend this company!

Great rental experience. We had 2 days in Iceland to explore and we wanted to do it on our own. Pickup from the airport was easy, quick ride over to get the car. No issues with the car and drop off was just as easy. Met them right in the morning and they shuttled us over to the airport. Only thing I didn't know was the parking in Reykjavik, lots of parking requires an app. Once you have that it's pretty simple, but before that it was a bit confusing.

Good service, easy access. Received an upgrade to a slightly better car at the front desk. No hidden expenses and easy drop-off. They have their own airport pick-up around every 10 minutes - very smooth.
