I loved my trip to Japan. Intrepid gave us an awesome tour guide. They really went above and beyond to give us a great experience from things to do and food.

First hand experience of the jungle, wildlife like orangitans in their own natural habitat and planting conservation trees. Well organised and no worring about travel organisation around the country.

Recommend Premium Vietnam tour. It was fantastic. Beautiful country & food . Thao Do our tour guide was brilliant. Knew the history of his country unbelievable. Alway approachable and kind , utmost respect for him

What an amazing trip- can’t fault it. Loc our guide was amazing, friendly, helpful and well organised. This trip was a wonderful first look at Vietnam from north to south and we saw all the highlights. The scooter tour in Hue was such a highlight as was a day on the Mekong Delta. I loved the way that the trip combined organised days and activities plus time to do you your own thing on several days. Great value for money too! The food and accomodation were excellent and all breakfasts were included! Would totally recommend this tour and I’d go again anytime

My trip in Southern Africa was amazing! 3 countries, countless animals, and natural beauty made for a truly unforgettable experience. The group leader, cook, and driver were exceptionally professional. I learned so much and enjoyed every minute of my trip! Pre-trip customer service was very helpful setting up a sleeping bag hire and an airport transfer.

The Balkans tour was a great trip covering some wonderful countries with a friendly and fun travel group. We saw some lovely old forts, towns, beautiful lakes and visited some interesting museums. I would recommend to anyone.

Intrepid is a great company. From start to finish they are absolute professionals. This summer I went to India and Nepal and it was the trip of a lifetime. The trips are exactly as advertised so be sure to read the detailed descriptions they provide when you are making your choice. Looking forward to visiting Morocco in the spring. Highly recommend the Best of Argentina and Brazil tour. Carla was an amazing guide- very knowledgeable and connected well with local guides in each location to give us great advice for our free time and also made sure that we maximized our experiences at each stop. Iguazu Falls is not to be missed- put it on your bucket list!

I absolutely loved this tour! Such a great way to holiday and experience a new country. Active, outdoors, city, villages it was truely amazing. Great value for money, well organised and our tour guide, Lok, was the best! Accommodation and food was also great. A must do!

I can’t recommend the Classic Rajasthan trip highly enough. The itinerary, activities and accommodation were outstanding and our guide Mukendra was exceptional - fun, kind, informative and well organised. It was a treat to have a proud Rajasthan local who is so passionate about the history, culture, food, spirituality and people to guide us. The Vietnam Express Southbound. O.M.G. There are not enough words for how fulfilling and fun this action packed 10 days were. We walked, hiked, swam, paddled, cycled, motorbiked, bussed, trained, flew, tuk-tuked ... and ate ate ate! It had everything - an exploration of all the wonders of Vietnam, and when combined with a great, diverse compatible group from around the world, and a superb guide, magic truly happened. Our incomparable guide Uoc (aka Lucky) was a combination of super organised mother-hen, enthusiastic historian and hilarious jokester who was attentive and caring and ensured everything ran smoothly. Husband and I are in our 60s and have travelled widely, and this trip was up there with the best. So if you're still fit and curious and able to get about (not too decrepit for Intrepid!), dust off your walking shoes, get the cobwebs off your bicycle and do some practice laps in your neighbourhood, and book this trip. I don't know how Intrepid do it for the price, but it's value for money, and you'll come away no longer equating Vietnam with 'war', but having a new love for a beautiful country, it's people ... and of course, their food. Thank you Intrepid, Uoc, and our wonderful group of fellow travellers.

This was my first Intrepid Travel trip and it was to Naples and the Amalfi coast which was great. I was somewhat daunted at first, but the size of the group and mix of fellow participants worked well. We all got on so well together. Our local guide, Giovanni added so much colour and detail to the trip. Even with mixed weather at first, it failed to deter us. The scenery was stunning and the food was always amazing. It was with some dismay that our group has recently learnt that European destinations are no longer going to have local guides. Personally, I feel that this will be to the detriment of overall experience and it does make me wonder if I would choose a European trip with Intrepid in the future.

Intepid, was initially quite unwilling to aid us in credit or refund, when we canceled the Morocco tour scheduled just 2 weeks after the earthquake. We're happy to announce that they have now offered a respectable solution. Thank you. And a big thanks to UNITED TRAVEL ADVENTURES of Jerusalem in assisting us in the matter.

Love adventures but the size of the cabins on our trip to the Cyclades Islands are extremely cramped . We have three mature adults in one cabin with no space to move and no space to hang or store anything ( including wet towels ). If any of us had been physically inflexible or overweight we could not have coped with the sleeping arrangements . It is impossible to sit on the top bunk and even turning over in bed requires considerable planning . An adventure does not mean cutting back on basic essentials … In our view there were too many people in too small a space . Two complete strangers were also asked to sleep together in an extremely small double bed , which meant that one of them decided to sleep on deck or in the living space . The only redeeming factor was our Skipper who is professional, friendly , informative and skilled . I would recommend this trip if the numbers were reduced .

I have received no meaningful response from Intrepid to the review below: I feel totally cheated. Just finished the Spain and Portugal 14 day trip. The itinerary does not match the actual experience and is I feel deliberately miss leading. When I says a “local bus” and an approx 3 hour journey the reality is a 6 hour trip door to door in the middle of the day. You miss valuable time at the actual destination in favour of being jammed in a bus with dozens of people traveling on a freeway with nothing worth seeing at all. The bush are not even express so you stop in the industrial outskirts of a number of towns and even the airport. By the time you finally reach the destination you are tired and frustrated. I want my money back. It’s a cheap experience that you pay a lot of money for.

Booked a premium tour to Israel and paid in full. Once I paid Intrepid changed the tour, not because of operational or safety reasons but on the basis of previous customers feedback. We asked them to keep the tour as it was advertised originally and they suggested we ask our group to see if we can persuade them to go to the original destination once we had arrived in Israel which is simply ridiculous and then I complained so they offered my money back. Not exactly the best resolution now that I already paid for my flights and booked time off separately. Hopefully the tour will be better than my experience so far.

Unfortunately, Intrepid is a company I would recommend being wary of. They are fine as long as everything is going ok, but if anything goes wrong? Don't expect any help or decent customer service. I made the mistake of booking two trips, and both times I ran into problems: Trip 1- I was taken very ill while in Vietnam and had to drop out of the tour. I had no help from the guide- no help with getting to a doctor (I don't speak Vietnamese and was too ill to get out of bed anyway), he didn't even assist with arranging a hotel room. Trip 2- I've had to cancel an upcoming (2024) trip, but haven't received the refund despite phoning the customer service line several times. The people I talk to are nice, but don't seem to be able to actually get anything done. They just suggest waiting a bit longer- not sure how long they think is acceptable to hang on to someone's money really.
