The training is of a high quality but improvements could be made
The training was very informative and very well thought out. The instructor was very knowledgeable and gave good feedback on the practical sessions. The quality of the information given to us was high and it enabled a pass for the theory part of the course. All equipment used in the practical session was of high quality and presented to a high standard. As for the practical sessions, I think it would be worth baring in mind that people who have never built scaffold structures before are attending these sessions. There were often times where others who already work with scaffolding were taking charge, leaving those with minimal experience less involved. Additionally, women are also attending these courses and at times it became a bit uncomfortable. The instructor tried his best to be as inclusive as possible. However, there were odd comments being made by the instructor, which may have just been a bit of harmless fun, but as the only female attending the course, at times it felt like being singled out. An example of this, the instructor told me to stand in the base of the scaffold structure with my arms up and in front of the group proceeded to call me "vertically challenged", thus making it clear that I wouldn't be participating in assisting the construction of the higher deck. In order to pass the course, we had to go up to the higher deck of the scaffold with the idea of helping to dismantle it. I was not able to take apart the higher level of the scaffold after being told I could come straight down without even being asked if I was able to dismantle it. This didn't allow me to gain the relative experience of working at larger heights, ultimately making the training slightly redundant in the end. All in all, the training was very informative and the practical sessions provide a lot of hands on experience. However, care should be taken for the reasons mentioned above.

5 Stars – Outstanding IPAF Training with Sulav at HSS Aylesford
I had an amazing experience with HSS Training at their Aylesford location. Sulav, our IPAF/MEWP trainer, was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge was second to none, and his training style made everything easy to follow and understand. As someone with no prior experience other than basic familiarisation with 3A and 3B platforms, I was a bit nervous. But Sulav broke the content down into simple, manageable steps, which gave me a lot of confidence. I’m now IPAF certified for the next 5 years and feel genuinely excited about what’s ahead. I would 100% recommend HSS Training and will be coming back to them when it’s time to renew. Thank you, Sulav!
