Reliable and comfortable
Three years and 15,000 miles later, still running like a champ. Only maintenance has been regular oil changes and one set of tires. The comfort level is outstanding for longer rides once you get used to the forward controls.

Perfect for my 20-mile daily commute. Comfortable riding position, excellent fuel economy, and easy to maneuver in traffic. Storage options are limited though - definitely need to add a tail bag or so... See more

Coming from a sport bike, this feels pretty sluggish. The parallel twin engine is smooth but lacks character. Build quality seems good but it's just not exciting to ride for someone used to more performance-oriented machines.
After years of riding heavy touring bikes, this is a refreshing change. Light, nimble, and has just enough power for everything I need. The parallel twin engine is surprisingly smooth and the 6-speed transmission is well-geared. Honda really nailed it with this one.
The motorcycle itself is solid but I've had a few minor quality control issues - loose bolts, paint chips appearing early. Nothing major but expected better from Honda. Performance and handling are good for the class.
Took the MSF course and bought this as my first bike. Couldn't be happier with the choice. It's forgiving for learning but still fun to ride. The dealership service has been top-notch too. Highly recommend for new riders.
The Rebel 500 is a decent bike but feels underpowered on highways. Fine for city riding and short trips, but I find myself wanting more power when merging or passing. The brakes could be stronger too. It's reliable though, which counts for a lot.
Been riding for 15 years and this is my first cruiser. Really impressed with the build quality and reliability. Haven't had any mechanical issues in 8,000 miles.
This bike turns heads everywhere I go - the blacked-out styling is gorgeous. Performance-wise it's adequate for a 500cc but nothing spectacular. Wind protection could be better at highway speeds.
Love the bobber styling and the bike is very practical for daily use. Easy to maintain and parts are readily available.
Overall happy with my purchase. The styling is fantastic and it handles really well in the city. Only complaint is the stock seat gets uncomfortable on longer rides and the suspension feels a bit soft for my weight. Might upgrade those components down the line.
Just picked up my Rebel 500 last month and I'm absolutely loving it. The low seat height makes it super comfortable for shorter riders like myself, and the engine has just enough power without being intimidating. Great fuel economy too - getting around 65 mpg on my daily commute.
