Review summary

Repairparts receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from customers, with many labeling it a scam. Reviewers frequently report issues with order fulfillment, citing delays of over 30 days and unexpected price increases after purchase. Communication is a major pain point, as customers struggle to get responses from the company, often facing rude and condescending replies when they do. The lack of a customer service phone number exacerbates frustrations, leaving consumers feeling ignored. However, a small number of reviews praise the company as a great hardware store, highlighting its extensive selection of hard-to-find parts. Despite this, the majority sentiment reflects deep dissatisfaction with the overall service and reliability. Overall, Repairparts is viewed negatively by most customers.

I have emails from the company where Sara called me "a Liar" , " a Karen", said my situation was " absurd" , her reply was also I didn't need to " write a book" in response to one of the emails where I explained what had transpired during my situation .. This company's customer service is the absolute worst

Great Hardware Store

This is a great online hardware store with a ton of parts that you can't find anywhere else. I've purchased from them many times and always had a great experience. It looks like there is a common theme with the people that complain...they either didn't follow instructions or didn't read the terms. It's sad what big box retail has done to small businesses, but nothing is worse than creating entitled customers.

Scam Company.

Placed order for items advertised on their website. Received invoice. They did not have the product they advertised. Very shortly thereafter on the same day they cancelled the order and a partial refund was sent back. They claim some of the money paid is not refundable. The handling fee on the order was not refunded. Now they are claiming it's a service for just for placing the order on their website. They refuse to refund the full amount. Levi, the rep I'm dealing with is now claiming to sue us for $1000.00 for breach of contract. That's not going to happen of course. Just fear and intimidation tactics to try to scare you away. They are a scam company. Don't order from them.

So, I paid another $22.00. 3 weeks later I recieved the product and it was damaged. 7 days after I received the product, they sent me a notice that it was shipped. (Please re-read this.....I got the product and 7 days later the company sent me a tracking number) Never again buy from home repairs!

Terrible communication and very rude

I ordered a part for a kitchen sink on 8/16/23. By 8/22/23, I had still not received any kind of tracking number or order confirmation from the website. I tried to contact them, and they have no phone number available on their website, only email inquiries. When I tried to find my account on their website to find an order status, the link emailed to me showed up in my gmail as a suspicious link that may be a phishing scam. At this point I became concerned and looked up reviews for the website, which were nearly all negative. I called my credit card company and had them hold the payment, as at this point I had no package or evidence of one being sent. A few days later, I received an email from the company threatening to add on a fee of $1000 for doing a credit chargeback. When I tried to email them back that I had no information on the order and their email links show up as a phishing scam, they were unapologetic and doubled down with additional threats of sending my account to collections and filing a police report, and were extremely rude and condescending in tone the entire time (over a $28 order). Eventually I did receive a package and at that time took the hold off my credit card. However between my experience with their “customer service” and other negative reviews, I would never order from them again and wish I had seen reviews before I did the first time.

Beware of this vendor

The retailer did not deliver the item in the promised timeframe. I attempted multiple times to contact the company to cancel. They have no phone number just a website. They never responded. I never received the item and disputed the charge which led to the company rep sending threatening emails. I have never been treated this way be a vendor before. Buyers beware!

AVOID homerepairparts.co AT ALL COSTS!!

Don't ordery ANYTHING from this unprofessional outfit that, in my opinion, falsely advertises and dismisses any ownership in their conduct. Images below show what was ordered originally. It was an air grille, and you can see in the image that it should have four columns of vents laid out in a landscape configuration. What they actually sent was a two column, vertical configuration. I wrote to kindly ask for what I had ordered, and Sara replied that the image used is "generic" as stated in the "Terms of Use," which I agreed to upon sale. And insult to injury, "the item you received is the correct dimension and layout." I wish I could attach an image here, becaue if I could you would see images of my original order (with the image they advertised), an image of what they shipped (you will note the different grille) and a copy of Sara's unprofessional, defensive reply. Do business ANYWHERE ELSE but this place.

I wish I had seen these reviews AND…

I wish I had seen these reviews AND more carefully reviewed the company website before placing an order. As other reviewers mentioned, the company delayed shipping for almost three weeks after I placed my order for an “in stock” item, while charging my PayPal account immediately. When I had difficulty finding the proper towel bars for the bracketsI had ordered, I realized they do not provide telephone customer service. Sara did respond to my email advising which part might work, but by then I realized what poor customer service they provide and was concerned that I would have another long wait for an over-priced and possibly wrong-sized item. I decided to cut my losses and requested to return the unusable item I ordered. My return request was denied. I hope this review helps others avoid financial loss.

I'm a property Mgr and order online alot...this is ubsurd--for a part that was supposed to be "in stock". It's a scam if I ever seen one!!!! Buyers BEWARE!!!

SCAM ALERT -Ordered an item for $110 dollars. -They wrote me an email saying "We have to increase the cost $70 additional dollars. Do you still want it?" Really? Who runs an online company this way? -I cancelled the order BUT on my credit card statement today they only refunded $102.

Scam FOS Trickery AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Scam just like everyone else in here. They say they can get a hard to find part then send you the wrong thing. After asking for more money because they realized their scam site had not been updated to current market pricing. They are a 3rd party seller giving another company a bad rep. Avoid them like the PLAGUE!

Do NOT order from Company

Do NOT order from Company. Why does it take a company 30 days to fulfill an order that doesn't state it is on back order or anything. Then when you dispute your credit card transaction they want to finally contact you and threaten to sue you if you don't pay a $1,000.00 legal collection fee. There is absolutely no phone number listed for the company. The number I had on my credit card transaction goes unanswered, I sent emails and no response until AMEX sent them a dispute letter. Save yourself the headache and hassle, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A FRAUD!!!!!!

Worst company I have ever encountered

Don't buy from here. I purchased. I tried to cancel. They wouldn't respond so I filed with Paypal. They then refused to refund my money and did the same I see here: threatened me with a $1,000 fine they can't enforce, sent part of order in able to be able to tell paypal they sent the order. I returned to sender. Paypal eventually refused to do anything. Now I am out the money and have no products either. All they do is lie to you and treat you terribly, with threats.

Update

update - After 3 emails over the course of nearly 10 days asking for status update, they finally responded and referred me to their customer service agreement. I had already given them a warning on the final email if I did not receive a status update or refund within 24 hours I'd be contesting this with my credit card company (Chase). Well, after no response I filed a formal dispute with Chase. Homerepairparts is now threatening me with $1,000 in legal fees for not abiding by their customer service agreement and will only drop the fees if I drop the dispute with Chase. A $1,000 fee over a $38 part. Well, I'm not dropping any disputes. Good luck getting your $1,000 from me. I'll be submitting the entire communications chain to Chase today. As the other gentleman just said in his recently posted review, maybe I'll win, maybe I'll lose the dispute of the $38 but I intend to make you work for your money as well. Have fun battling this out with Chase.

You and your organization are a scam!

You and your organization are a scam! I saw the red flags upon first seeing your initial response filled with multiple references to your "User Agreements" when I was simply asking for an update on the shipping. You then refer to "Ridiculous amounts" of credit card disputes due to people not reading your agreement. Well, now I see that they're probably not all that ridiculous. You and your organization are a scam. You deceive people into thinking that you have a product that they want. When they order it with the very standard and low expectation that it's actually what they ordered. You then send them the wrong product. You then keep a portion of their funds because of a loophole in your "User Agreement". So, does your user agreement say: "You can sell me a product that you never had in stock and never intended to deliver and in the meantime send me the WRONG product. And when I predictably return it, (BECAUSE IT"S THE WRONG PRODUCT!) you will then keep a portion of my money? Because that's what you did. Just FYI, I do intend to challenge this with Paypal, maybe I'll get my $15.00 back, maybe I won't. But at the very least, I intend to make you work for my money by making you defend your decision to rip me off to a third party. Sounds like you're very experienced at this. I also plan to find any social medial outlet that I can to bad mouth your organization and let people know about the racket that you are running. Happy New Year!

This company uses a click-wrap…

This company uses a click-wrap agreement to sneak in the fact that they have 30 days in order to ship your item so you will have to wait a month to find out if your item is even coming. Their customer service is horrendous and if you ask for a refund they will not give you one. They will claim their click-wrap agreement which hides this information says that not only do they have 30 days to ship (which means they have 30 days to print a shipping label, and it could be another 7-10 days to receive your product) it also states that no refunds will be provided. The only positive review for this "company," is written by Sara the same person who contacts you from their customer service, and likely an owner of this scam site. Pay more if you have too and use a reputable source.
