The handbag wasn’t in as good a condition as I was expecting given it’s nearly the same price as a new bag. The gold Mulberry post is quite badly de- plated, the bag hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned or the leather polished. If I hadn’t needed the bag quickly for an event I would have returned it.
Worst experience they do not communicate with you in time for sales or make appropriate reduction and the amount they charge... well even D*ck Turpin wore a mask! Would happily take £500 from your bag sale but if the bag doesn't sell charge you £14 to send it back 🤣🤣🤣
They have had my bag for well over 6 months . I want it returned so have contacted them twice with no reply . It’s terrible that they have no phone number for queries such as this . They also claim to use WhatsApp but no reply on that either . My advice is not to use this company
After receiving a lovely pre-loved designer bag for Christmas, I had a slight doubt about its authenticity and wanted to confirm it. I contacted the Handbag Clinic team and received a very quick response outlining all the possible ways I could do this. I then decided to go with the online option. I took the photos, uploaded them to WeTransfer, and that was it. A day later, I received the response. Thank you so much to Bethan, Lucy, and the team for all their help.
Beautifully presented bag in excellent condition. Tissue and packaging was disheveled however- would have loved to have had an actual verification certificate included also.
I’ve sold several bags here over the last few months, with my most recent payment arriving yesterday. I am very happy with the offers I received, and all my consignment items sold within a reasonable timeframe. Their customer service is also excellent; every email I sent was answered within 24 hours. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the payment delay for consignment sales. While I understand the 14-day cooling-off period, waiting an additional 4 weeks for payment (6 weeks total) feels too long. Aside from this, the experience has been great and I would highly recommend them.

There was a delay with my online authentication initially, but the matter was eventually resolved and the item was confirmed as authentic. A partial refund was also provided, which I appreciated. Overall, the issue was sorted in the end.
I sold my Mulberry bag through Handbag Clinic thinking it would be a smooth, professional process. It absolutely wasn’t. I would not recommend them. It took six stressful months to finally sell the bag / get paid, and that only happened because I kept chasing them. If I hadn’t followed up repeatedly, I’m genuinely convinced I would never have been paid. Before you send your bag, they do not clearly tell you that if they decide they won’t sell it, you have to pay £50–£100 to get your own bag back. That is a huge risk when you’re sending an expensive item, and it should be made crystal clear upfront. Communication was poor throughout. After the bag went online, I received no updates. They then applied a price reduction — if you don’t reply in time to dispute this, they just go ahead and reduce the price. They also never told me the bag had sold. I only found out by chasing them again. Customer service was frustrating. Most emails felt auto-generated, didn’t answer my questions, and caused more confusion. Only after multiple follow-ups did it seem like a real person actually read what I was saying. Payment was another issue. They did not send the request for my bank details, then claimed they had — which they hadn’t. Again, if I hadn’t chased this, nothing would have happened. I expect they may try to dispute parts of this because they market themselves as reliable and professional, but this is my honest experience from start to finish. Overall, selling here was risky, stressful, and poorly managed. I’m just relieved this saga is finally over. If you’re selling a valuable or sentimental bag, I would strongly advise against using Handbag Clinic.
Do not sell your bag with this company. My bag was sold in November and I was never told and I have still not received my payment. I sent multiple emails that have still never been responded to so I have to WhatsApp to speak to someone. I was told my payment will be made and now I am being told another date. The worst customer service and you have to chase them for a reply. Issue my money or this will be taken further. Terrible experience
