shout out to Uckfield Halfords- thank you

I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff, in particular to Sam at the Uckfield Halfords store. I had ordered a bike for my son online, for the store to assemble together; then I changed my mind and asked to order a different bike model- the staff were very accomodating to this, despite it creating much more work for them. Then after all that, the bike was too big for my son, so had to return it- ended up getting the original purchase! Sam was very helpful, professional and polite at all times. The bike has been well assembled. Yet to be used- so can’t comment on the bike so much- but the staff were exemplary. Thank you.

Absolutely awful. Ordered ebike on a Tuesday. Picked upon following Monday. Got home and it's wrong colour. Tried to ring store (Peterborough) but got thru to some overseas call centre that was barely understandable and call disconnected !!! Took bike back to store and was promised correct bike by Wednesday. Went in to store wednesday waited 20 mins to be seen. No bike - now saying friday !! Pathetic

Brought a new bike from halfords they built, I.had this 1 week to find the chain coming off, and a clanging from the wheel I took this back they said they'd rectified this, I went on a ride to find the brakes screeching and the chain worse than before, I took this back again and they apparently rectified this, I went on a shirt slow ride and had lost 2 gears I called them to ask for a replacement to be told they'd not do this because id bring it back and wasn't allowed to purchase another, the manager stated it like uying a new car after 1000 miles it needs a service, we have repaired the bike twice and we shouod have charged you for that as the cable slackers with use, I said ill go trading standards speak with them, I filled In my complaint to trading standards and whilst waiting for them I went on my bike with some mates after hakfords did maintainance on brakes and gears, I was travelling at 37.1 mph down hill, I pressed my brakes to find there was none, and a corner with a knee hi kurb coming up I tried to steer but the corner came so quick I hit.this.thrkwing me into.the air and smashing the left side off my body causing alot of pain and body damage, the vodoo braag I.brought from these was a brilliant bike, until the.faults kept occurring voodoo and halfords keep passing book so legal advice is to be sort, I would recommend people stay clear especially if.they have children if it wasn't for my correct clothing id have smashed my head open, DONT risk a built bike from these and go to a proper bike shop not these and stay clear if the Sheffield road halfords branch in Chesterfield,

By far the worst retail store in the country, reserved a bike online. Showed up "not in stock" so why was it listed as in stock? Why did the guy tell me his computer said there was "-3" in stock. Embarrassing.
