best value, simple, no nonsense

I went online to confused.com and selected fully comprehensive from the drop down box as a fully comprehensive policy is what I needed for my car. Go Skippy quoted the cheapest price. I proceeded to their site and purchased the insurance. A few weeks after I had a to make a claim for glass and was advised I had only purchased an essentials policy that doesn't include glass cover. I explained that when on confused.com there is no option for an essentials policy only fully comprehensive which has historically included glass cover. They advised this isn't covered on there policies and it tells you that on their website when yoi finalise insurance. I explained this is misleading as I didn't ask to be quoted for an essential policy om confused.com I asked for fully comprehensive. This is misleading and I'm now £382 out of pocket for a new windscreen. Their complaints team where talking over me and said its my responsibility to read terms however if this isn't included they shouldn't be quoting on a 3rd party site claiming the policy is fully comprehensive when it's not.

This company told me to submit my documents which I did send on the same day after speaking with customer service.Now they canceled my policy, said it can't be reinstated because I didn't call customer service after sending the documents. The customer service said I might need to pay them even after debiting £97 for the monthly insurance.

Changing over to skippy was relatively easy and all the documents came through qucikly. Cheapest renewal price I found online. obviously i cannot comment on how good they are when it comes to making a claim. fingers crossed i never have to find out

Absolutely doggy insurance,they will not deal with your claims if the 3rd party had same insurance from go skippy even its not your fault and they will add the claim on your account.i hope uk government will deal with this scam company and not let them deal in uk.please avoid this company just coz no upfront or £5 £10 cheaper than legit companies avoid this go skippy if you dont want extra trouble in your life.poor customer service rude staff and then on top biggest scam is cancellation fee of £200 i hope someone will look into this company accounts and stop this company straightaway from ripping off people…honestly i hv never seen a rubbish company taking money from people in every possible way and again government has to do something about it.i have always had comprehensive insurance but go skippy wont allow me drive any other car.so in short they just insure you to be on road so police won’t stop you but apart from that this company is not giving you even basics please avoid them at any cost.

I made the mistake of insuring with go skippy but just 16 days into the policy, I took an opportunity to buy another car. Upon trying to change the policy to the new vehicle, go skippy wanted an extra upfront payment of £225 and the monthly payment had more than doubled... in total it was going to cost well over £1000. This of course was despite the fact that I was looking at my computer screen which on a comparison site just 2 minutes before had quoted me the same insurance, same vehicle......through themselves, at half of that price (£503). Trying to question this with the agent was obviously impossible who could not really comprehend or offer any help into how ridiculous the whole scenario was. For 16 days worth of insurance, I was effectively charged £130. £92 to cancel the policy, and the first months upfront premium. I then took out a brand new, identically priced policy (£503) With another company. Doing it that way was still £500 cheaper than me accepting the change to policy that they quoted over the phone. Absolute scam ripping off people that would just accept the initial price given. Definitely think twice before opting for this lot.

My car took the knock and I want to add my sister to my new policy. This was apparently to complicated for Go Skippy so I no choice but to cancel with three months left in my policy. A 30 second phone call coat me 75 quid in cancellation fees. Surely people cancel policies all the time. Absolute rip off and I don't care if it's in their terms and conditions - it's unnecessary and a money grab. I wouldn't deal with Go Skippy again no matter how good the deal. Also three weeks since I cancelled and I'm still waiting for my measilly 7 quid refund...must be to busy spending my 75 quid on champagne to be bothered processing it.

I was with GoSkippy for two years in total, they were my second insurance company altogether. I can’t fault them at all, however I never had to claim so I can’t rate them on that. Arranging it was easy, portal is easily accessible, no claims docs issues promptly with no hold ups. Knocked a star down for chagrin an arrangement fee, reason why I left this year as no other company was charging that. £70 is a lot of money and I didn’t want to pay that. I would recommend them tho for a no hassle experience.
