Dear Goldcress, Please can you convey my most sincere thanks to Carl my trainer and the call handlers I contacted as I completed and passed my SMSTS course on Sunday. Goldcress was not known to me at all however it was recommended by several work colleagues. Given the above I didn’t know what to expect and unfortunately my first course was cancelled due to a minimum attendance rule so I was extremely apprehensive in rebooking however I was duly contacted as promised and the course went ahead as planned, everyone was so accommodating and transparent in their actions. At first I felt Carl came across as being very stern whilst in the administration stage, being scarred from a previous course (not related) I was concerned if I wanted to continue but in no time we were all put at ease, Carl is obviously a extremely intelligent trainer and electrical engineer amongst many other things and that showed massively in his own working experiences both practically an academically, although he quotes from the book, he certainly doesn’t read from it! Everything was on the go, he very rarely had to reference matters, which showed he knew his onions! Everything was thoroughly explained even when I struggled through some sections that were completely alien to me. I don’t think that I or indeed the rest of the class could have asked for a better trainer, truly first class. My thanks again and I look forward to training with you again shortly. 5 Years ago I did my SMSTS and first aid Courses with gold cross and today I've done the SMSTS refresh course. I'm sure I will be back at Gold cross again if any further training will be needed! Slav did a great job and made this training interesting and memorizable. Thank you!
