Dont listen to sales man he lies!!!!

I had my boiler fitted 2 years ago and all been fine up until recently. It was only when my thermostat stopped working and telling the boiler what to do i realised what an error i had made. I had been informed by the sales man that warranty was 10 years, that it was interest free loan and service was included. I also had issue with leaking radiator which i was told would be fixed too. When they ring you to confirm details of installation and warranty etc listen carefully and walk away. It was a hard sell and i wish i had cancelled then. Overpriced and hard sell techniques used. Yes i should of walked away then and kick myself for not doing. PLEASE BE WARNED AND DONT TAKE THE SALES MAN AS SPEAKING THE TRUTH AS HE REALLY DOESNT!!!

avoid at all costs!

In July 2022 I recieved a leaflet through the post where this company offered a boiler on a government backed scheme, when they came to discuss it, right at the end told me I’m not eligible for the government scheme and gave me a quote, as I needed the boiler (old one was condemned) I reluctantly agreed to pay, I wasn’t made aware that the agreement was an interest first agreement! Then when the engineer installed it I started having issues, we had very heavy rainfall and water was coming in through the flue and in flooding the boiler and kitchen, the same engineer came back out and “fixed” the issue only for it to happen again, we requested a different engineer to come and have a look, when they looked into it we found that the original guy had filled the gap with loose pieces of brick then a thin layer of cement, and the cement hadn’t dried before the rainfall, the new guy did a much better job of it, the inside of the kitchen wall was left in a bad state but at that point we just wanted nothing more to do with the company! I asked for compensation at the time and was refused as they felt the service provided was sufficient! Now 2 years later I discovered the amount I owe is WAY more than what the retail value of the boiler and labour and to avoid nearly £1500 in interest I would need to pay £4100 to clear the finance! AVOID at all costs, rip off merchants!

Cant recommend the service enough

Cant recommend the service enough, had a new boiler installed within 48 hours of calling, very helpful throughout and explained everything clearly, setup our new smart thermostat on my phone too and kept the house nice and tidy.

Had my boiler installed yesterday by…

Had my boiler installed yesterday by Gas Fast, i had to leave a review with the fantastic experience i had. Everyone one in their team who i spoke with were really helpful and accommodating. The job was quite a big one but the installers really got stuck in and completed it all in the day, they explained how to use the new Halo thermostat which is really nice. Thanks to everyone for a great service.

Absolute shambles

Absolute shambles, boiler fitted... started to leak within half an hour of installation. 4 weeks later had to call them again for another leak. Had to wait 6 days for another installer to arrive to rectify the issue. due to the delay there was approximately £1000 worth of damage to appliances under the boiler and cupboards etc. when asked how they intend to rectify the issue they said we dont cover the damage as per your contract. DO NOT USE

Do not get a boiler fitted with these they give you all the bull that you boiler and radiator are 50% and the new boiler is 96% efficient they charge you a arm and leg you have loads of calls off then then when something goes wrong that doesn’t want to know I had boiler fitted in 2 day they left the old flue smashed up in back which they left on new decking no sheets to cover new carpet and I got 2 radiator that are boiling and 3 radiator that are cold I phone 4 times but I’m still waiting after 4 day now to sort they problem out as they were all working till they fitted new boiler which cost£5000 they don’t want to know as soon as they get your money go else where it be cheaper and better service

Great Job done by Gas Fast

Great Job done by Gas Fast, new boiler installed when we wanted. Turned up on time and worked hard all day, james explained everything to me throughout the job and left our home clean and tidy. Really impressed and would highly recommend.

£4.5 k for a boiler!

So to cut a long story short, after originally being put through to Gas Fast from ‘the energy hub’ who told me that I could get a free boiler, the deal worked out to be a boiler which would cost £4.5k spread out in finance installments over 10 years, so final outlay would be over £6000, for a boiler??? Granted It is AA rated and comes with the smart hub, free call outs and fixed within 24 hours, but it’s far more cost effective to buy one out right and for the couple of times it may break down, pay for it to be fixed and pay your service charge. Or even take a bank loan to cover it. Part of the sales pitch was they offer half the apr of British Gas, but you’re paying it back twice as long so it’s all the same in the end but for a more far expensive product so works out more expensive. Also the annual service is not included so approx £70 to £100 per year on top. I was told I’d be saving £50 per month, which took into account the £26 I COULD POSSIBLY save on gas but is not guaranteed, the £10 I already pay for breakdown cover and the rest was calculated by the smart hub only turning the boiler on when the house is a certain temperature and turning down the level of heat omitted when needed. So I’m not really saving any money as I’m already paying part of it and the rest is theoretical as he couldn’t guarantee the same savings based on the same kilowatts of gas we use already with our current supplier and wasn’t able to say we’d get our money back if we could prove we weren’t saving as much as he’d quoted. However, the man was nice enough after the 45 min sales pitch and agreed it wasn’t for us and also told us that the energy hub were known to tell people they get a free boiler as they work on commission when they get a sales man through the door. Great. My personal opinion is it’s a rip off and would easily hoodwink the elderly and vulnerable into taking finance over 10 years and paying 3 times too much for a boiler. It may work for people with no additional monthly income to buy a new boiler but just know you’ll be paying over the odds for a long time to come.

Great service from Gas Fast

Redmond gave me a clear explanation of the efficiency and cost of a new boiler, as well as explaining the payment plan. The installer was polite and efficient and cleared up after the installation. All the debris was taken away. The only other thing I would have liked would have been a little more explanation of the wireless system. However, customer services are very good and are calling me to go through it with me. As it stands, the system is working fine and the remote unit is connected to the boiler. They also live up to their name; it is a very fast service! I’m very pleased.
