Guys came to fit our door at the arranged time. Fitted the door very quickly. Super friendly staff (John and Connor). They also helped to fit the braxket for the outdoor hood which they didn't have too. Gave tips and tricks on how to maintain the door at its best and answered any questions we had. The door its self is of great quality. We absolutely love it and we are very happy with the service.

Great experience. Easy and affordable way to get amazing windows. We had a great experience, it was quick and easy to book a consult online and were met by Phillip and another gent (who I’m sorry we lost the name of) who was very professional and polite especially seeing as we forgot to offer them a drink for so long! They were very knowledgeable and helpful finding us the right options for our price range. The surveyor was also very polite and fast measuring our windows and making sure we got to choose our style of windows. Lastly the fitters were amazing, we had Gary and John who arrived and got straight to work and were faster than I knew possible getting windows off. They were very polite and pleasant with our dog. Aswell as that they fit the windows and didn’t even stop when it poured down with rain. The windows looked amazing and they were very tidy the whole way throughout. Had a new front door fitted, fitter arrived promptly and carried out the work to a high standard. He cleaned up after himself and left everything neat and tidy. Had plenty of follow up calls to ensure the work was carried out well and we were satisfied. Slight downside was a call after trying to sell more services which felt very pushy. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend to friends

Ben and Charlie came to install my new porch. They did an absolutely amazing job. My old brick/ pvc porch was coming away from the house. They took it down really quickly and by the end of the first day I had a new PVC porch in place. Having it all glass made such a difference. I was amazed by the fact that the carpet in it was still in one piece and looks as good as new. On the 2nd day one of the men came back to seal the interior and outsides of it. He even put my Ring doorbell up for me. On the third day they came back to check everything over and to hand over to the next team who were installing the roof. They were all very courteous and professional in their jobs and their work was outstanding. By lunchtime it was completely finished. My porch looks absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend this company.

From obtaining a quote to the installation date was really quick. The fitters arrived when they said they would. They were very polite and respectful of our home. Sheets were put down in all the rooms/areas they were working in to protect our carpets. They were clean and tidy the whole time. Our old windows had been in since before we purchased the house so I was expecting to have to do some repairs. I'm pleased to say that there is very little touching up to be done at all. The fitters also completed the work ahead of schedule. The windows are of a high quality and have made such a difference to the appearance our house. Our neighbours have commented on how nice they are and what a good job they have done. We are really pleased with the windows and the service we received from First Home Improvements and we would fully recommend them.

Beware of the initial quote - it is not what will be the final quote. After a quote of over £20k that we did not accept, we were asked what we had anticipated. No surprise - after a phone call to the regional manager our expected costs were approved. (Nearly a 50% reduction). Communication between regional and national office was very poor. It was only after numerous phone calls and emails that a start date was agreed. The installers were excellent - the shining stars of the company; clean, tidy and efficient. Claims of the original sales person to reduce noise were completely unfounded (have noise monitor levels to evidence complaint). Despite phone calls. no response to our concerns - maybe because in true faith we settled in full so they don't have to fight for their money. Original agreement with Frank (salesman) to come to 'sign off' the installation is not being completed - perhaps the company don't want to admit no reduction in noise? Very disappointing and not what was promised. Proceed with caution and would not recommend.

Workmen turned up early and worked hard for three days straigh they were polite and friendly and it was such hot weather, not once did i hear them complain what a wonderful team on conservatory fitters - Damian and Chris

I would rate them in the minus’ if I could. The work they carried out on my relative’s house was absolutely diabolical. Turned up with a really inexperienced, unprofessional team and with the wrong ordered windows. Afterwards, continued cancelling and rescheduling appointments to mend the work - leaving her throughout storm Eunice in Feb 2022 with large cavities and leaking windows. Fast forward to now, they have won their court hearing for her to pay the full amount for their ‘service’ because they deceptively got my aunt to sign just to ‘confirm their visit’, however the small print entered her into a new contract. So if you do choose this company, I would be weary of them this at very least. The whole experience with them has been a travesty. I would not trust them to go anywhere near my house. They are nothing more than cowboy builders.

Installers, Jack and Luke, phoned ahead of time to let me know their eta. Turned up on time, made sure i was happy with the work once completed and kept the mess to a minimum. All in all very happy with the work that was done by them

Although the windows were installed 2 years ago, they still come to repair faulty pieces. Jade Downs the Service Engineer solved the problem in a friendly and professional manner and very quickly. Thanks

Had new set patio doors fitted had trouble opening and locking them when Reported to them they sent engineer out who managed to fix them he was very polite and showed me what he had repaired staff in the office very friendly and professional good service all round

Really nice guys, really well fitted. They were very polite and did a great job. Really happy with everything, apart from crushing my plants out the front, hence the 4/5 rating!

The whole experience was excellent, from the 1st visit to the last. I was particularly impressed with the quality control and the aftercare.The doors themselves are of a very high quality and look very good.

Had a small problem with my front door which was dealt with efficiently by Jade Downs, the Service Engineer.

I never do reviews but the practice was unsettling and this is an awareness post. This isn't aimed at the rep personally but the company practiaes Starting out with 23k price, down to 16k down to 9k. I had paperwork, window sample and all this in hand, as soon as i said I'm not making a decision right now i want to compare to my other qoutes took everything back started packing up. I didn't get any paperwork with any written qoute even of the ridiculous 23k. I understand there is sales, start high work down but the guessing games and what do you think it will be - is not for me. More concerning they was at my house for 1.5 hours and it was only the last 30minutes which included measuring and pricing. My 2 main concerns 1. The force that you must accept the qoute there and than I think some vulnerable people are at risk even though its ment to be a 2 year price promise 2. Business and profit I completely understand tripling profit margins I belive is unethical, again vulnerable people might of thought wow, 23k to 16k what a deal when in actually fact 10k would of been expensive for what I was getting a qoute for. I think hugely over charging is unethical, immoral and possibly a reportable issue to the FCA which I was be looking at. It really hit home knowing of a old lady that recently had been getting qoutes, several visits, no dates, no door chosen bought a ridiculously priced door deposit taken, and no further contacts. Thankfully with legal support was able to get her money back. Finally a little to do with the rep, at the end when I said I'm not going to make a forced decision right now, they knew I had and was waiting other qoutes, wouldn't give me anything written to confirm any price, to ring the office - if they honor it - i wont make any money on the deal - I wont be coming back - cost me £20 in fuel Unfortunately in sales you dont always win, but some people need time and leaving with that attitude is not going to win any business. Really disappointed that people still operate in this way!

All the people who came to see me were very helpful and polite, had a laugh with them, the windows have been fitted, there was no mess left everything clean and tidy, very professional, I am very pleased with it all thank you very much.
