It's such a shame when an employee of a firm can be so destructive reputationally to them.
I made a complaint about a young man on the desk at Gatwick over 6 weeks ago, and am still awaiting a response [despite being promised feedback after a week]
The young man in question had clearly taken aganist me, which was unfortunate, as we had been travelling all day, were tired, and was hoping to pick our our pre-booked car from the airport without incident.
However this individual seemed to have decided that our business was unwelcome, and proceeded to make this simple piece of administration as difficult and irritating for us as possible. Little tricks, such as demanding that I wrote personal details on a post it, that were already on the booking form, conduct DVLA checks [that i had never been asked to do in the past] fill in paperwork with details already given, and change the booked vehicle for a completely different vehicle, which ended up further as a completely different vehicle once in the lot collecting it [he gave us a Skoda, which clearly was our 'punishment' for daring to challenge him! -I'm pleased to report that the Skoda was excellent, and I enjoyed using it!!!]
It was all rather surprising. I've been hiring vehicles fairly frequently for over 30 years, and Europcar was even our contractor at a couple of firms where I have worked, and we never had any issues.
I have filled out countless booking forms, had my license inspected [which is clean and long standing] and never had a claim on a hire ever.
Perhaps one of their bods will see this, and finally deign to respond to this very annoyed customer one day...
