Had cavity wall insulation done

Had cavity wall insulation done. I was quite sceptical and worried about it, I asked Dyson to come out couple of times and double check everything and they did. Had to put it on hold for a bit as well, they were OK with it and resumed the process when I was ready. Had few bumps with appointments and installation, but nothing major and they returned to fix quickly. All the service was free under British scheme.

Unprofessional and inexperienced

Since January 25 I have had several visits from surveyors, assessors, you name it, one of them couldn't find the damp proof course, each time drilling several deep holes in my exterior walls and leaving them exposed to winter the weather conditions. Only to be advised 3 months later that they are unable to go ahead with the insulation, and that they won't fill my holes with mortar back to the same condition prior to drilling. I am now faced with costs to put this right which I will be sending to Dyson.

Absolute joke

Absolute joke. Cavity wall insulation intentionally incomplete at upper parts of house " cos they don't do it" Absolutely rude. After I advised them I would make a complaint instead of infilling the big extraction holes properly, they stuffed it with roofing membrane and patched over with cement on very top of surface. I’ve just wrote a long review

I’ve just wrote a long review, then decided to delete it. The amount of issues, I’d need to write a book. Let me just summarise. I wanted cavity wall insulation under the government scheme. All I got was damage, lies, abuse, left waiting around for no show visits, promised calls/emails, oh and most importantly I didn’t even get the cavity wall insulation, even though it had taken 13 months just to get the “surveyor” on site. You can always tell a cowboy operation, if you ask a couple of important questions, so as not to have your property ruined, they all of a sudden make up fabricated reasons not to do the job. Go figure.

awful...quoted nil to pay 4 cavity wall…

awful...quoted nil to pay 4 cavity wall insulation & boiler ...assured several times no cost to me. ha ha ....got walls done then they won't do the boiler until i give them £600 ...joke. phoned several times to sort this out ...left messages for origional surveyor to call me....silence....I'm guessing 3 weeks to answer is asking to much :( I guess this company will pocket the rest of the grant & give me no boiler :(

Good job all round.

Very impressed by the whole experience of having loft and cavity wall insulation installed by Dyson. Very knowledgeable and efficient surveyor who was thorough and polite and set everything up with good humour and efficiency and then two sets of excellent and hardworking installers who worked with very little mess and great thoughtfulness. House is now noticeably warmer and hopefully will bring our energy use down.

We had both the loft insulation and…

We had both the loft insulation and wall insulation done. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and the overall service from the engineers who attended our home were very professional and polite. They carried out their work socially distancing and wearing masks. 10/10 would definitely use this company again. Thank you Dyson.

Honesty is the best policy...

Guy came to the door, said there were government subsidies for free cavity wall insulation and new boiler. Seemed to good to be true. I was half right. Got the cavity wall insulation, but the boiler was a waste of time, the surveyor came to look, spent a long time taking pictures of every single radiator in the house, behind heavy pieces of furniture I had to move, but at least I was getting a new boiler, right? Nope. That was just a lie. Like others have said on here, they rang up a week later and told me the price had gone up by nearly £700. What a waste of everyone's time. I assume the door-to-door guy gets incentives for booking in surveyors? So he just sugar coats the truth to get a survey done. Not a good business plan. Unlikely I would ever consider using or recommending the company in the future.

Highly recommend this company

Highly recommend this company. Despite everyone complaining about cold calling I’m glad you did . We had cavity wall insulation and experienced nothing but polite, courteous and covid safe from every member of Dyson. Our house is now so much warmer so Thankyou very much .
