I had an awful experience with Coomers, which is a shame as I’d always thought them to be a decent, ethical family run business. Their driver came to deliver a load of building materials. He refused to reverse into my drive, like every other delivery driver has done, and was rude and borderline aggressive. He then went on to strike my tree repeatedly, to the point you could hear it audibly cracking. A few weeks later BAM. I lost two substantial branches from a healthy tree. They wiped out 2 cars, including my beloved classic BMW Z3, which was written off. It cost me £300 to clear the debris and when I called to speak to someone and explained the situation, I said I would have to contact my insurance company and was scoffed at “yeah, good luck with that!” I have a recording of that conversation. Coomers have since denied even being on site! Absolute appalling behaviour from a local business. Not only was I significantly out of pocket, but the Z3 was my pride and joy and I genuinely grieved when it was hauled off. I will never forgive Coomers for this. Ever. And I certainly would never use them again. Their blatant obtuse behaviour and lack of customer care has cemented that decision and I’m happy to recommend others not to bother with them either. You can always gauge a company from how they respond when things go wrong. In this instance, I’m grated that I’ve had to give them one star when they deserve none! UPDATE: Coomers tried to deny all knowledge of this issue. However, they’ve now changed their response to the one below: Further to Coomer’s response below - of course they haven’t got evidence to substantiate my claim, I have it. I have photographs, video, and an audio clip of one of their reps being arrogant and rude on the phone. The crux of it is, I’m now highlighting their treatment of me during this whole debacle, therefore my review is wholly viable! I’m not surprised by their response. They tried to deny ever being here, during litigation. Obviously I was able to prove that that was a lie too (I have the emails to prove that too). Their staff were rude and obnoxious, both during the delivery and afterwards when I approached them for assistance. It’s just not on. I’m not one to lie and I have a strong sense of right and wrong, and the way I was treated was very wrong. Not once has anyone tried to contact me to apologise; all I have are sarcastic retorts and not the slightest whiff of any empathy. So, in my opinion you are not an ethical firm. End of. Ps. Martyn, I find it ironic that, if I remember rightly, the driver was called Martyn and here is someone called Martyn not being particularly humble in their response to my complaint 🤷🏼‍♀️ Coincidence?

Helpful and friendly service. I pre-ordered some items online after being let down by another builders merchant. I was lucky to have found the same items more cheaply and they were ready to be collected very quickly. Staff loaded the items into my car with care. Well worth giving this business a visit.

I am a well accredited and award winning landscaper, and have worked locally for 30 years this year! YAY! I can honestly say hand on heart that Coomers Ltd have been instrumental in helping my business grow, their service is excellent, the staff great and friendly, if they don't have it its not usually worth having, they have allied themselves with some of the best brand names in my industry (landscaping we are MNB Designs Ltd). If I left a review every time they bent over backwards for me or for a client of mine, I would be leaving a lot of reviews. Yes there are some who sometimes can be cheaper, and trust me, they have all called me and tried to take my business from this firm. It's not going to happen! Until both price AND service quality is matched I won't be going anywhere else. We deal primarily with domestic garden projects large or small, this is a domestic environment, where we don't need "site mentality" and Coomers have been the perfect fit for my business and hopefully your needs to. I cant mention all the names of those that are great there because it would be a very long list of names. Suffice to say times are hard enough, do you want to stand with your supplier for two hours while you sort your CSA only for it to change the next day, or do you want a company that is proper Ronseal, "DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN" THUMBS UP TO COOMERS LTD
