What to expect when dealing different car dealerships
Answered my question
CarShield receives a largely positive reception from customers, with many praising the excellent customer service and the ease of the claims process. Reviewers frequently highlight the professionalism and helpfulness of the representatives, noting that interactions are often calming and informative. Many appreciate the promptness of service and the competitive pricing for repairs. However, some consumers express dissatisfaction with the coverage details, feeling that it does not encompass as many items as expected, leading to unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, there are complaints about delays in getting repairs approved and the requirement to use specific garages. Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment remains favorable, reflecting a strong customer service experience.

I like the fact that I have coverage for my older car, but I thought it would cover more things than it does. The 800+ dollars I just had to spend on my car. Doesn’t do good for the budget, especially... See more

I used to be Car Shield’s biggest fan. I’ve been a customer of theirs for 5+ years. That first 6 months I had to have the stereo dash unit replaced. My plan covered the part so I was sold on its usability. Since then I’ve barely used it but when I have, it’s been a mess to deal with. The app is always down. I’ve had almost every claim besides one denied. Plus, even is they approve it- remember that they only pay for the parts, not the labor. So it’s really frustrating when you’re paying a monthly payment and on top of that you have to pay a couple grand for labor plus the $100 deductible to Car Shield. Then you find out that the part is only $200 and the sales person is haggling over that cost! On top of all that, when I call to cancel my service- instead of being treated nice and perhaps being wooed to stay as a customer, the woman on the phone literally argued with me about how if I leave CS then I will just get worse coverage else where. Nice threatening sales tactics there guys! I’ll pass. Signed, former CS customer
Car shield contacted me when my most recent credit card (on file w/Car Shield) was declined. I now have a new card which was used to re-start automatic monthly payment. Thanks for alerting/me reminding me to keep my account open and paid for automatically on a monthly basis. Keep up the great work! Jeanne Parsons Norfolk, VA
The gentleman I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful.
When I called customer service to ask why they stopped taking out our monthly bill for our car shield policy they informed us that we were all paid up! It turned out we were paying for a 5 year coverage policy and it was paid up in 2 years! It’s nice to know we still have the coverage for another three years!
Always willing to listen and help.
All phone representatives are very courteous & responsive. They are an admirable first impression of the Company.
I received a call from Gabriel. He was very helpful and gave me all the details of his conversation with Brakes Plus. He went over all the details of the parts needed and the cost to each. I appreciate all the information he gave me. He was very polite and gave more than willing to work with me and understand I had questions which he was happy to answer. He was amazing
My van needed some engine work. I took it to a Firestone garage to have the work done. I was shocked 😲 when I found out you were giving them a hard time about their price for labor which is the same everywhere. Also, they had the part needed but you wanted to ship the same part for a bit less, then they'd have to wait 4 days to get it then install. I was without a car and I couldn't work. Then you gave them trouble sending what you decided to pay for the work. I was told when I purchased CarShield that the work would be 100% paid by you and I would have to pay a $100 deductible. You dragged your feet on the payment. Then only paid $2,000 and I had to pay almost $1,400 for my part. I've heard from other places that this is what you do. What happens if I need work done again, I don't know if they will take on the job again if I need work, because of what you did this time. You should stand behind your promises that you say in the TV commercials and your representatives. I had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago, my brakes were so bad that the shop didn't want to put me back on the road like that. I happened to remember about my policy with you. So I called to make a claim and was told pretty rudely that I should have gotten the OK 👍 1st and that you wouldn't cover the cost at all. I explained the situation and danger that I could be put in, not having it taken care of. I even called back a day later and got the same rude response. So I ended up paying the whole bill of $1,300, which went on my credit card. Thank God, I had a card to pay the bill. As a 75 year old senior citizen on a small SS income that's a hard hit to take. Again, I had to put the engine work on my card again to get my van back. To me that's all kinds of wrong 😕 on your part. I could be a good spokesperson for you, especially with the senior citizens.
I love the way they handled their business in talking to you very respectful
My experience was fine.
I called you and asked if my issue was covered, you said yes and paid the $1600.00 for a new radio GPS unit, less $100.00 deductible. I did not have to make any calls after the initial call and had no problems whatsoever. I will recommend CarShield if asked. Thank you
Too difficult to deal with. Personnel are idiots
Taylor from CarShield was outstanding, and great depth of knowledge. She provided me with a great customer experience!
My Ford Representative, informed me she had difficulty with the communication process. My vehicle was in maintenance facility for 2 weeks and a day due to the lack of car shield not informing the Ford Representative what the status of the claim was. I had to call car shield and report the name of the individual handling my claim to get the claim processed with out further delay.
Did not inform us of changes when paying the bill when Carshield is to pay 100% under the warranty. We had to pay part of the labor. Which isn’t fair.
simple transtion from my old car to my new Camry very helpful
I cannot believe that you've been paid almost $4,000 in payments over 3 years and first time I try to use it and nothing is covered. A lot of friends and relatives are waiting to hear my outcome with you. So I'll let them know not to waste their money!!!!!
Excellent customer service.
It was a good experience. Thanks
