I have been told so many confusing…
I have been told so many confusing things 1. call to DMV and I was told I had to go in to get my tags because the DMV had made an error 2. multiple things by your support email -I needed to pay -I needed a smog Then when I go into the DMV and wait from window to window for a total of 4 hours, I told that I would need to get in vehicle registration line or make another appointment. 3. Now I am getting an email that everything has been finalized.

While I appreciate the relative ease of renewing my registration and acquiring replacement stickers, my understanding is that the tickets I received related to this very issue were correctable. Nonetheless, I am being charged, with no recourse and no explanation as to whether not the city-level tickets (2) that I received are being paid for with $200+ penalty. Plus, the only reason this is happening is because I never received a renewal notice, as far as I know. The system seems structured to make $ from penalties. It is like a defacto tax with no accountability for the DMV; only penalty on citizens/drivers. Not a good look.
