Bargain Rental Cars is excellent in all respects. I have rented with them more than once and their cars are always clean and well maintained. In addition, the staff are friendly and professional. I recall several wonderful conversations with the elderly father of Bargain's owner, who drove the shuttle back and forth from Auckland airport. I highly recommend Bargain for anyone looking for a good car to rent at an affordable price.

Outstanding Customer Service. Perfe t car at a great price

I rented a car from Hornby from 6 - 24 January.Two days later I noted that registration was due to expire on 15 January- well within our rental period!!!Three tyres were also bald in areas.Trying to speak with Bargain was useless & frustrating as they insisted I deal with the third party, Airport Car Rentals.That also proved aggravating as they insisted I deal with Bargain ( after many attempts at bypassing their bot).A valid rego was couriered; an alternative 2017 Toyota Rav 4 was offered by Bargain at a rate of $261 per day. A replacement car was organised by Aiport C R to be collected at Christchurch branch. They were great.But it is beyond comprehension how Bargain Car Rentals could rent an unroadworthy, unregistered car!!!

Bait you in by cheap prices only to let you down after jumping through so many hoops. Their alternatives to make up for their error was too small and the next size up came in at twice the price. No apology no dropping the price in a similar sized vehicle. Mickey Mouse customer service. Would not trust them.

Exactly what car hire should be like. Simple, easy, quick and friendly and good value. No scaremongering up-sells. Would use this company again and again.

Guy the owner offered a great service, we were very happy and the check in staff were super helpful, especially sorting the connection to the Apple Carplay setup. Easy collection and drop off, even out of hours at 3am. Highly recommend and very good pricing compared to others.

We have used Bargain car rentals many times over the years flying into Auckland. The staff are always helpful and the vehicles well maintained. As always, very reliable hire car choice.

Team at Wellington Central were great to deal with. Make the pick up and drop off really quick and easy. Showed me a couple of things for the vehicle as was quite big (Toyota Highlander) and different from what I usually drive but I wanted a bigger vehicle for the trip north. Was really nice to drive, very clean and tidy SUV. Great service, team and vehicles to choose from!

Easy booking, good pickup and dropoff service. We had to make some changes to the booking and the staff were super accommodating and helpful. Recommended! Cars a bit older and dented - hence the super good value. Worked just fine and was a good drive though!

When I needed a rental car I was stressed trying to come up with solutions and Bargain Rental cars as the best answer I could have found. I tried 3 other places before and 2 of them had cars I could pick up the next day. The first place I spoke to was rude, rushed me and didn't make me feel comfortable renting a car for the first time, When I called Bargain rental they were patient, kind and walked me through everything I needed to know before hand so I could go ahead with ease. Not only were they the most affordable but the service was top notch- Friendly and professional. The car was clean in good condition and I honestly couldn't have had a better first experience when using a rental. Being under 25 I was also worried about the insurance side of it all and judgement but there was no pressure and it was clearly explained. 10/10 service, would highly recommend them over any other company out west. Thanks to your team; I was able to be apart of my nephew coming into the world because I was able to rent a car in time <3 A small bit of kindness and stellar service had left such a positive impact - Thank you! Everything about BRC is spot on and great. They go over the extra mile with customer service and I am genuinely intrigued at how they train their staff to be so good with customer service and hospitality haha. Punctual, reassuring, helpful, kind, you name it, you won’t find many entities in NZ which have the A team going on tour these guys will show you how it is done with Kiwiana spirit.

Great service all round. Delighted to have used BRC in Christchurch. Great staff and simple pick up. Great car and overall superb value for money
