Balance by bistroMD

I joined the program four months ago, which was about four months after my wife got started. She had averaged losing a couple pounds a month for four months. I saw her results and thought maybe it can work for me. I have averaged a weight loss of about a pound per week for my four months--double my wife, though I have an extra 100 pounds to work with! The food is substantial and high quality. I still cheat a lot, but healthy cheating, such as fruits, salads, and for the most part low-fat proteins. And I continue eating my three BistroMD meals per day. What a great program! Eventually, I shifted to Balance by BistroMD, which provides the opportunity of ordering a la carte, often at a discount. It's a lot more affordable, but starting with Bistro helped me learn the program. After a while, I felt like I didn't need the program snacks or supports. I could manage snacking on my own. Plus, I am the type of person who can eat the same thing over and over if I like it, though that is not required. I typically buy products on sale from Balance. There is always something on sale for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So I choose my winners, for a lot less money, and it keeps working. I told my doctor about it, and he was encouraged until he found out how much it cost. This is not a cut-rate program. However, this is an effective program. The effectiveness of the program is amazing. I have been tightening my belt about one additional notch per month. The success of BistroMD and Balance has been very nearly absurd to me since I wasn't really "working" that hard at my weight loss. But I have been seeing results and hearing compliments at work and at home. Good luck to you as well!

i had to stop using yall due to the flood by harvey,(no house,no freezer) up and untill he great flood, i enjoyed your service.. I would have liked the portions to be a little bigger, but for a bachelor the meals were balanced, and god to eat! rj

Great products! Very good quality of food.

I have been looking for prepared food for awhile, but couldn't find what suit us.. clean, low fat and healthy. I also try to do gluten and dairy free. I was not sure if frozen food can be good because I have tried those frozen food in the supermarket and no matter what they claim, I never like any of them. I saw good review online and decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. Even though they are not organic I feel really good after eating and they taste good! I was told they choose worthy ingredients that they will feed their own family. Of course every one has different taste. I found their spicy food way too spicy for me. I really like most of their meat dishes. I don't know how they make them so tender. I usually don't eat pork but I enjoy their pork dish. I don't like their fish dishes in general. Tend to be over cooked. I think fish is hard to do on frozen. I found what I like and stock up on sale since they stay in freezer well. Then I try new dish to find more things I like and cross out dishes I don't like. Since there is a very large selection of dishes, even picky eater like me can have some variety.

Title pretty much sums it up. Also, every type of fish I’ve tried here tastes fishy.

the food is great the choices are great too, I love the frittattas. the food is delivered frozen in dry ice. My only complaint is that it always takes 5 to 6 days to arrive. otherwise I would give them 5 stars.

My only annoyance is having to ask each time I order about my tracking number. Food portion size is decent. It might a be tad pricy but serves my purpose of a healthy, quick meal option.

Pretty good diet food.

BistroMD is awesome. Ordering is easy. My husband is picky eater and changes job sites often. It had been a struggle since he has diabetes till I found BistroMD. Everything always comes still frozen. He just takes to work and heats up for lunch and dinner. I drop a couple of weeks of meals to my son in another state monthly.. He loves them! Our experience has been completely positive from the from ordering, to getting immediate help online with questions to the food. (One reason we chose them is No Contracts!)

It would have been a 5* but then you changed your shipping method and do not use styrofoam coolers anymore. The soft sided insulation does not work. My food was arriving half thawed and leaking. I won’t order again because of this.

The meals are high quality real food. It is easy to order on line and the meals arrive promptly. The one time the shipper failed to get my ordered to me before the ice melted (Fed Ex delivered to the wrong address) the meals were replaced quickly and without any hassles.

Great product and good service. I am not sure I like the choice of all the veggies. That is just me. The entrees are really good and plentiful. Will continue to use this product.

The packaging for the meals could be improved on as often the box is on a hot truck all day before being delivered & meals are not frozen on arrival. This is main reason I don’t order more meals

Overall very pleased. Meals arrive in good shape and in good time. Customer service has been great. Only negative is some meals are a little bland. Others are fine.

Greatest service for people like me who work long hours, hate to cook and want to eat healthy calorie controlled high protein delicious meals. I only wish there was a genie in the box that would organize my freezer with every shipment! As a bonus, I have lost 15 lbs since I started buying bistromd meals
