Whatever the topic I am searching for -
I can always count on ThriftBooks to have whatever I am looking for, no matter how obscure. I'm a knitter, and regular bookstores have cut down the number of knitting reference books and magazines they carry, but I can count on TB to have a varied stock. I like to get some of the beginner books, as I randomly teach others to knit, and these books/booklets are handy references for them. Plus, I find more advanced references for myself. The books are shipped quickly and are well packaged - and I am advised when they have been delivered, or if there might be a brief hang-up in the processing.

Service with Thriftbooks has generally been quite good. The books are usually as described concerning condition, and typically ship quickly. I'm not sure when the free book bonus became something you had to use in a certain timeframe, nor what the timeframe might be, but I do know if you're up for a free book you'd best use it before you lose it. It would be nice to have a policy note on that someplace on the site.
