I strongly advise anyone considering finance with this company to look elsewhere. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The car I financed developed a major fault immediately after purchase, yet the company washed their hands of any responsibility. Complaints Manager was shocking! If you want a finance company that takes your money and then ignores you when things go wrong, this is the one. Otherwise, steer clear.
We spoke with Luke today who was totally professional. He listened to our problem attentively, didn’t rush us and treated us with utmost respect. If only all customer service experiences were like this!! Thank you Luke
Great at giving extortionate rates with the hope to stay safe with early repaiment. The moment early repaiments start they start charging hidden fees and start complaint procedures to delay the process. Online early repaiments don't seem to work...not a win/win deal as adertised
The customer service is great, calm, kind and polite. Mr Jay is always ready to help, even one step forward! He breaks everything down, with patience and quickly addresses all the information required regarding my accounts. When even iv spoken to him, he's always very detailed, prompt and very helpful. Tandem have been my husbands rock! My husband recently purchased a vehicle that was beyond repair within 3 months of ownership this was a very stressful and expensive time. They looked after him and he has had everything claimed back from the independent dealership in a timely fashion! Thankyou so much Tandem you really have excelled and your customer service is second to none! Highly recommend, a company you can trust!
Avoid due to terrible customer service
Phoned to change my DD from one to another account. Gareth talked me through the process and what I needed to do. Fantastic support I spoken with them 3 times in the last month. Every time great customer service. The most negative feedback is noting to do with them. They do the finance not selling the products. I bought solar panels and if I have any issues I am going to the solar company, not Tandem.

There was technical error on my account which was stressful and left me in panic, but thanks to Rhys he swiftly dealt with the matter very reassuring. I have been with this bank for a number of years and would have said they were a great modern bank and I actively recommended them to lots of people. Until I had to contact them. I recently moved house, every other bank this was extremely easy to change. Tandem, you need to phone them between the hours of 9-5 weekdays, not exactly the modern bank I had thought it was. Since this is impossible for me to do due to work I asked for this to be escalated to a complaint. Tandem offered me the option for the complaint correspondence to go to my home address... You know, the one I don't live at but cannot change with them. They sent this email after 5pm so if someone could stay late to email me they could have rang me to change my address. The conclusion of the complaint is that I need to contact them between 9-5 on a weekday, no discussion of a work around, the complaint was not addressed at all. They tell me this is to keep my account secure. Sending my personal details to the wrong address is obviously not a concern though. From this experience I've got the impression that there's just a few people working from home 9-5 who can't possibly work a little later to keep an account secure. They obviously do not have the security systems or number of personnel of the mainstream banks and seem inexperienced in handling customer service issues or complaints. And I really thought an online bank would be modern and not have outdated security systems or contact hours.

I purchased a car and arranged finance through this company, but had issues with the vehicle from day one. Instead of helping, they made it clear the problem was now mine to deal with. The support has been non-existent through my —no one even bothered to call and discuss my complaint. My case handler, Tom, was confusing and unclear throughout, which only added to my frustration. I hope others don’t have to deal with him. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
