I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like a pressure sell....invest now or miss out. Disgusted really from the comments what has happened.
Just read thrives renewable said that there sorry to hear ripple gone under that no payment has been made to them either from Ripple or the coop. There looking forward to dealing with one or the other but at moment there continues with build on there own. Why hasn't ripple sorted a deal
Could not make my final payment. Just checked their reviews and have found out they have gone bust. Thanks for telling us no doubt I would have lost my investment. The Directors would be well cared for got scam written all over it. Have had no return on my investment.

Ripple enables me to reduce my bills and contribute to improving the world we live in.
My initial contact with Ripple was instructive and helpful. I decided to invest in the new wind farm on the basis that this Company had already proved its credentials and the detailed financial information and benefits were believable. I am investing on a monthly basis which gives me the option of cutting my losses if I lose confidence. That said the regular progress updates leave me to believe that my investment will be worthwhile. The website is easy to understand and customer service has so far been excellent.
Easy investment. Option to spread payment and great idea to democratise electric generation.
This project is a great idea and having seen them successfully build a similar project in Wales I feel confident that they will succeed in this, their 2nd project, in Scotland. Communication from Ripple is good, I know their plan and I get regular updates on progress. If all goes well and if the cost of energy continues to rise I might just make a modest return from this but this is not an investment as such (particularly at my age :)) but I do feel that it is a way of contributing to the efforts to make our country more energy independent as well as making my contribution to reducing carbon emissions.
I am lucky enough to afford the up front costs to future proof costs of electricity during my retirement. The way electricity costs are increasing it seems it should be good value for my money. Just looking forward to November 2023 for my electricity supply and meanwhile trying to find out best way to switch from gas heating!
I bought into Ripple having discovered the innovative offer on Octopus Energy’s website. They had laudable environmental and social aims, showed the prospect of reasonable returns on investment and were low risk. For us it was also a way to generate energy as our roof wasn’t best for PV. Turned out to be a great decision. Proven success was shown in Wales at about that time. It is really engaging to be part of something innovative and pushing at the envelope of what is possible and desirable on behalf of energy consumer and shareholders. Plus + it now looks that much higher returns and so a shorter payback period might be possible. At a rate that exceeds the best previous solar returns. Ripple are prominent and active in reporting on events and environmental issues which is heartening. It helps confirm that the investment is helping in some way to contribute to the debate on green energy. I can highly recommend Ripple, it is very well led.
Ripple have been brilliant to deal with and even engage with owners on the dedicated Facebook group when there are questions. Everything was explained clearly and communication is excellent overall. I love the co-op model and it's a great solution to help make our household greener. We have solar panels and an EV but with rising energy prices wanted another source to insulate ourselves from price rises and make our consumption 100% renewable. Highly recommended.
