What a shame

The chocolate is no longer the same quality: it tastes cheap but at a luxury price. Unlikely to buy again. It seems sadly you can't have quality and chase a large market share.

Reduced size

We had the ice cream cone today and it was almost empty. The size of it was less than half that it used to be. I rather pay more and have a decent ice cream than an empty cone. I won’t buy it again. Another good thing gone :(

Annoyed and Angry

It has taken me almost half an hour to cancel a subscription as I am not the recipient. I am the person paying the subscription and the person who receives their numerous emails. Apparently Hotel Chocolate needs to speak to the recipient to cancel.

Let down by delivery

The order was dispatched and everything was fine until Amazon failed to deliver to a secure place and the order went missing. To be fair I rang customer service and they were very helpful and processed my refund quickly.

Mum was delighted

Delivery came slightly sooner than expected. The packaging was perfect, and the chocolates were a delight... for my 88 year old mum, who loved them.

Absolutely love Hotel Chocolat and usually treat friends and family for their birthdays. Only thing I miss is the wonderful cocoa dusted macadamia nuts. Mmmmmm

Velvetiser peeling after less than 4…

Velvetiser peeling after less than 4 years of infrequent careful use Very disappointed that my copper velvetiser is peeling after less than 4 years. It looks a mess and is not something I now want on display in my kitchen, hotel chocolat do not want to know citing that it only has a one year warranty. A premium kitchen item such as this should have better build quality and durability and hotel chocolat should care more about their products and loyal customer retention

They certainly look good as a small gift and the Champagne Truffles are always delish!

I bought these after seeing them (mind you at an even greater cost!!) on MoonPig and they certainly look the part as a small thank you gift. Champagne Truffles are a staple as a gift and are simply delicious. I am a l-i-t-t-l-e disappointed in the sell-by date (Jan 2026) as I got them for an October overseas visit (I was concerned about MY forgetfulness!)for a friend who is particularly partial to HC products and and I will now hang off ordering the Rum Sultanas until a little later. Others have mentioned the carriers and I must say I would have been happier had they handed them to me at my flat door as requested. I am disabled and was unable to pick them up from outside the door until my lady came in. Mind you theirs is a thankless task
