Had cavity wall insulation done

Had cavity wall insulation done. I was quite sceptical and worried about it, I asked Dyson to come out couple of times and double check everything and they did. Had to put it on hold for a bit as well, they were OK with it and resumed the process when I was ready. Had few bumps with appointments and installation, but nothing major and they returned to fix quickly. All the service was free under British scheme.

Unprofessional and inexperienced

Since January 25 I have had several visits from surveyors, assessors, you name it, one of them couldn't find the damp proof course, each time drilling several deep holes in my exterior walls and leaving them exposed to winter the weather conditions. Only to be advised 3 months later that they are unable to go ahead with the insulation, and that they won't fill my holes with mortar back to the same condition prior to drilling. I am now faced with costs to put this right which I will be sending to Dyson.

Absolute joke

Absolute joke. Cavity wall insulation intentionally incomplete at upper parts of house " cos they don't do it" Absolutely rude. After I advised them I would make a complaint instead of infilling the big extraction holes properly, they stuffed it with roofing membrane and patched over with cement on very top of surface. I’ve just wrote a long review

I’ve just wrote a long review, then decided to delete it. The amount of issues, I’d need to write a book. Let me just summarise. I wanted cavity wall insulation under the government scheme. All I got was damage, lies, abuse, left waiting around for no show visits, promised calls/emails, oh and most importantly I didn’t even get the cavity wall insulation, even though it had taken 13 months just to get the “surveyor” on site. You can always tell a cowboy operation, if you ask a couple of important questions, so as not to have your property ruined, they all of a sudden make up fabricated reasons not to do the job. Go figure.

Had my cavity wall insulation installed…

Had my cavity wall insulation installed under GBIS by Dyson. Great service throughout the entire process. They identified some ventilation needs that were done through the funding too which was great! Overall happy and looking forward to saving on my gas bill! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great service.

great company and super friendly staff! my house is so much warmer now that i have my cavity wall insulation installed and it was all under GBIS which meant it was free for me!

Free cavity wall insulation

Was a little sceptical at first, seemed too good to be true getting free cavity wall insulation, particularly as it was via a cold call at my door. However, the process from start to finish was great. We had to have a couple of visits to fit fans and vents before the install but this too was free of charge. Really professional service (even my dog liked the guys that came round and she hates everyone)

company who deliver poor quality workmanship

Had a boiler installed with no problems, though the man who started the job got sacked after 1 day for poor quality work, years later where they cut through my roof which was only 18 years old some tiles fell off, i had it examined and they have botched the job, i contacted them and they have now blocked my email adress, i will be issuing a claim through the courts.

Absolute shambles of a "company"

Absolute shambles of a "company". Can't tell their arse from their elbow. Visit one - house survey advises two fans to be installed and cavity insulation. Visit two - fans installed. Cracking wall plaster and destroying renovations. No apology or compensation provided. Visit three - cavity insulation installed. Installed into the fans so then the fans no longer work. I had to CHASE for acknowledgement of this. Visit four - fans re-installed. More damage done to the house. No apology or compensation provided. Visit five - more photos required. Workers don't turn up at first, have to chase. Visit six - more photos required. Workers don't turn up at first, have to chase. Visit seven - more photos required. Visit eight - more photos required. (Don't ask me why they're so incompetent at taking photos). Visit nine - one of the fans that the original survey said was fine is actually not fine and needs to be replaced. Electrician now drilling into my newly plastered bathroom. Assuring me it won't cause damage but of course it will. Can't wait to see how many more visits these morons need. Wouldn't trust this company to hold a pair of scissors let alone conduct DIY in a house. Avoid like the plague

Awful installation of ventilation fans has damaged property.

We recently had the fans installed by Dyson Energy Services ready for our GBIS loft insulation. The work carried out is shockingly bad and has damaged my property. - The tiles in the bathroom around the fan have been cracked. - The men have cut into an original brick arch over the kitchen window. They did not tell/ask me despite me being in the property. - The fan in the top WC has damaged the surrounding brickwork which has been left as a gap. This will allow water to enter the wall when it rains. - They have cracked ceiling tiles upstairs while installing the wiring. - There are also marks in the ceiling downstairs where damage has been covered up with sealant. - One of the men asked if I had any cement as a "brick had popped out". He had to go and buy some to cement it back in. - I have received no paperwork regarding the fans (which are awful looking by the way) As these are electric items wired into my home should I not have some information about them? Are they pac tested? Who makes them? Who do I contact if they stop working? Currently have a complaint filed with Octopus Energy who have contracted Dyson to complete this work and have asked for removal of all products and wiring. Absolutely awful.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. Visit 1 the electrician was fantastic and installed 2 extractors as planned. Visit 2 was by two engineers who were meant to do an undercut in the bathroom door and install loft insulation and trickle vents. They installed one vent and another incorrectly, and gauged a hole in the bathroom door. They then called the book a revisit to fit the vent correctly which they cancelled, rebooked and didn’t show up for. When they rebooked again they had no idea what they were doing and I had to show them where to fit it. After they left I noticed the paperwork showed they fitted 3 vents which is an outright lie.

Thoroughly professional

Dyson have done a great job for us: we had door undercuts, 2 ventilation fans installed and cavity wall insulation. They turned up when they said they would and the work they did was really good quality. David, Stuart and Ian were all really informative, courteous and helpful. I'd highly recommend them.

I had Ian from your company come round…

I had Ian from your company come round and fit trickle vents on my windows and loft insulation and 10 mil gaps under the doors. I was very pleased with the service I received Ian was very friendly. And completed all the work he needed to do left no mess very pleased with the service I received from the company

I found this Company to be excellent to…

I found this Company to be excellent to deal with. We had the initial survey and pressure test completed by Jack. He then called the office and we were booked in for the 7th Aug for the cavity wall installation. Both John and Lee arrived early and worked really hard. They were both very polite, friendly and professional, explained everything along the way, what a super job! They cleaned everything up and left our property very tidy.
