Excellent. The conversation between Professor Avi Schlaim and Ghada Kami ("The Hidden History of Israel") is wonderful and not to be missed.
A breath of fresh air .
In my opinion Double Down News gives excellent honest well presented podcasts, analysis and news. Often on issues that are not necessarily receiving as much exposure as they should.

I admire their politics, and in particular George Monbiot, so I'm just earnestly wondering: what is the deal with all the cash they are making (about 36K per a month, according to their own Patreon account). It seems all their output is just people talking on camera, offering their personal (and typically informed and interesting) opinions. There has been about 10 such videos made over the last month. So, they're averaging about 3,500 US$ budget per each video, none of which looks like it would have any real cost associated with it (there's no fancy graphics and they're just hosted on Youtube). Thus, I'm just wondering: what is all the cash being spent on? George Monbiot (admirably) lists his income on his website, but I see nothing listed in his most recent updates about DoubleDown at all. So, again, I am wondering: where is the money being spent? It's a pity the DD website is not more transparent about this issue. If they were merely a total start up, I wouldn't have any qualms (just yet), but they've been on the block long enough to at least begin to address these sorts of issues, which are absolutely key, in my opinion.

Not sure what to say, most of the things they talk about sound good in theory but I feel like in practice its another different thing...

Excellent honest well presented podcasts, analysis and news that gives more space and detail to issues that are not necessarily receiving as much exposure as they deserve, due to limited outlets, and also becausd of the exclusionary policies and rightwing bias in mainstream media, due to ownership and employment of partisan rightwing journalists views only, and avoids false equivalence. I am a journalist so I know.

Double Down News is thorough, informed and not owned by the billionaire press. Even if you don’t agree politically with everyone who is on, it provides a space for voices that do not get out enough in MSM. Great Journalism, which is something we desperately need.

Beware Greeks bearing gifts. DD are playing the mood music of many people feeling disillusioned with current affairs. Looking at some responses, advocating riots and violence is disturbing.

I have only just joined so am keeping my counsel for the moment. I admire investigative journalism immensely and, in particular, George Monbiot's investigation into cronyism in our government. I don't agree with the admiration of Jeremy Corbin and feel this trend may discourage others to join.

I look at this daily and are doing subscriptions for relatives for Christmas. This means not spending wildly in order to get the government out of trouble. Plus, for busy working parents, they can listen to honest news while doing patent jobs. Your speakers are all amazing people so thank you and them for giving us their time and knowledge

A great source for well articulated arguments from a wide variety of established and highly regarded journalists, activists and politicians. I do hope they maintain a level of centrist opinion and start featuring more positive (outcome) stories moving forward.
