Shocking way to treat customers

My delivery was confirmed to be Friday 23 June, after originally being told it would be Wednesday 21 June. The delivery was due between 8am and 5pm, at 3.30 I chased as I'd heard nothing. They called back 40 minutes later and said they'd try to speak to the supplier. Finally called back at 4.30 and said the delivery wouldn't be happening and it would now be the following Wednesday. Best bit - apart from the obvious - it'll be 3-5 working days to get a refund. Shocking way to treat customers.

Sourcing issues but good comms 👍

Had problems sourcing some of the ordered materials which was not great as listed as available on the webshop, but Wyatt, the account manager, was on the ball with sourcing the materials and providing regular updates. So will be using again

A nice company to deal with. The trade account manager, Pam, was very helpful, capable of handling my queries and geeing us to a position where I was able to correctly order the materials I required. Very happy to use this company again in the future.

Seemed like a good idea but ......

Seemed like a good way to get all my materials from one place. I put together my order and rang Building Materials to check that they would be able to obtain everything and was told that there was no problem. Couple of days later I had an email saying that a Rockwool product I ordered could not be sourced and that I would get a refund for that. I would have liked to have been given the option to cancel the whole order. This left me having to source that product myself and have to pay additional delivery charges. I wrote them an email but I haven't had a reply. I would think twice before trying them again.

My first time was a good experience.

Everything I needed was found on the website, all clearly labelled, with full pictures and descriptions. Once the order was placed, I requested a particular delivery date, Tilly took my query, kept me informed and made it happen.

do not plan based on their delivery time

This is the first part of my review, I will update it when I receive the items: - mentioned delivery time on the website: 2-3 working days! - I ordered timbers on 8th Jun, expecting delivery for today (12th), but when I called today I was told I should expect the delivery on Wednesday 14th! I hope I receive the timber on Wednesday! This means client time is wasted only because the company does not want to provide the client with accurate delivery info. Maybe they are cheaper on the stuff in comparison to other suppliers, but overall, I am paying the builders on the site, and they don't have the materials to do the job! Update: I received the timbers 5 working days after the day I ordered them; the funny thing here was that the last time I called them to check where the timbers are, a lady from the team was trying to convince me I placed my order on Friday, while I did that on Thursday. Their communication is awful! They never sent me any single email or text for delivery since I placed the order. I only received a text message 1 hour before timbers were delivered.
